Since then:

- The DoD has set record recruiting numbers
- All that queer arse DEI shite is gone for good
- the Houthis quit and are sitting everything out
- and Hegseth allowed real warfighters to wax the Iranian nuclear program

Let's be honest about these things:
- Recruiting is better because the woke Biden admin is gone. A random person from the phone book, taking over for Biden, would have produced better recruiting numbers.
- I applaud Hegseth for getting rid of DEI crap as much as he has. I want to see him go even further, and he also needs to look into fraudulent discharges that have been taking place since at least Vietnam. The awards system is garbage as well. But, he is going after DEI stuff and that's good.
- We stopped bombing the Houthis because it wasn't working, primarily, and I suspect, since we know the operation in Iran was planned for a while, that munitions were held back and the bombing of the Houthis stopped, because of the conflict with Iran. We don't have the industrial capacity to sustain these efforts which should be a huge alarm for all of us.
- There is no concrete evidence that the Iranian nuke program was seriously throttled. We probably won't know about that for a while. It might be true, but given how deep those facilities were, I'm skeptical. More importantly, we have given Iran a lot of motivation to go nuclear now, and they probably will. The causal arrow for that will originate in this latest skirmish.

The only thing you can point to is those Telegram messages which Waltz allowed the reporter in the thread and he is gone

This was more than enough to fire Hegseth. If Lieutenant Snuffy did what Hegseth did, he'd have a court-martial and be looking at time in Leavenworth. Same for Waltz. Waltz is still in the admin, by the way. He's likely funneling stuff to Israel, along with the CIA Director. Everyone in this administration was either picked by Israel / AIPAC or cleared by them. That includes Rubio. The Adelsons have been funding and grooming him forever.

So far, Hegseth looks like an immature frat boy, given an enormous amount of power. The low hanging fruit was going after DEI stuff. Lots of reports of real douchebags in the Pentagon and Hegseth should be knee deep in personnel every single day, getting rid of these people. Lot of people in the Pentagon, but the positions that matter, that need a thorough purge, are not that many.
Hegseth should have already culled at least 50% of the flag officers. We have enormous bloat in our military and every military in history that has done that, has gone on to suffer catastrophic defeat. Since 2000, we have created a ton of new commands and new slots for flag officers. It's a racket. Time for a purge.
Commissioning Big Tech people is a disgraceful move.
There's no evidence that Hegseth is changing research / development / acquisitions in order to get us out of the paradigm where we launch million dollar missiles against ten thousand dollar drones. He's asking for a trillion dollar budget though, to burn more of our money in the MIC-Congressional pipeline. In the future, given the proliferation of drones and our servitude to technology, we are likely going to be shooting $5M missiles at $1k drones. In the next war, that will lead to us losing because we won't have the materiel or the money to sustain a fight.

The entire military personnel system needs a total overhaul. I'm sure he's oblivious to how it works or what 'up or out' means, or has any appreciation for how lacking our entry level training is for both officer and enlisted, especially the officer side. He probably partied his way through training and never gave it any thought.

We need a doctrinal review and a reshaping of the force. Air Land Battle, Full Spectrum Operations, whatever the current flavor is, etc, and all the hybrids that each commander comes up with, are not going to work on the modern battlefield. Our flag officers don't even know our doctrine or how we're supposed to fight, but our enemies do. The nature of warfare is unchanged but the character of warfare is dramatically different. We are basically stuck in Air Land Battle while slapping new gadgets and toys on everything. I doubt Hegseth is tracking any of this. They say tactics are for amateurs, logistics for professionals. Hegseth is an amateur. He loves the tactics of fancy stuff like B-2s but seems to be blissfully unaware that we can't sustain a fight.

We have a national security enterprise filled with "thinkers" that pontificate about various theories and we send people to the schoolhouse to talk about this stuff, learn all the new catch phrases, but there is no application to how we operate and even worse, there is no coherent strategy at the national level or within DoD, outside of what they put on PowerPoint slides. It's just fluff. For guys like Hegseth, the fancy planes and technology are the strategy. It's mindless. When we find ourselves in a real clash with a capable adversary, we are in for a world of hurt but Hegseth thinks we can dispatch some B-2s and the rest of the world will quake in their boots. That is not how the next conflict will go down.

Overall, I think Hegseth is a fool. Talks big but there's no substance there and I see no evidence he sees the big picture. I think he means well but we need someone that is more serious and a lot smarter and more careful. He belongs on a battalion staff, not running the DoD.
Joe wouldn't let someone come into his house and take his food and soak up his air conditioning. I don't know why he thinks a sovereign nation should turn a blind eye to an invasion of 30 million+.

This is a very panican thread.
It's beyond a stretch to suggest that Massie's comment makes him a Liz Cheney J6er. By the way, Trump isn't the only one allowed to troll people. Massie is correct in the statement below - once the election fraud was out there, the states had the obligation and authority to submit a proper slate of electors. That was the proper path for a Trump victory. That path wasn't taken so Trump pressured Pence and with that screed unleashed by Trump the other day, Massie is entitled to needle him on a sore subject.

Stop clutching your pearls here.

This is part of a statement he released on Jan 3, 2021:
Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Kelly Armstrong (R-N.D.), Ken Buck (R-Colo.), Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), Tom McClintock (R-Cal.), Chip Roy (R-Texas) released the following statement concerning the January 6 attempt to overturn the results of the election.

“We, like most Americans, are outraged at the significant abuses in our election system resulting from the reckless adoption of mail-in ballots and the lack of safeguards maintained to guarantee that only legitimate votes are cast and counted. It is shameful that between both chambers of the U.S. Congress, we have held precisely one hearing on election integrity since Election Day.

The people cannot trust a system that refuses to guarantee that only legal votes are cast to select its leaders. The elections held in at least six battleground states raise profound questions, and it is a legal, constitutional, and moral imperative that they be answered....

There is one and only one path to victory for President Trump on January 6, 2021, and it depends on state legislatures certifying Trump electors in the states at issue, pursuant to state law and the U.S. Constitution, and based on a finding that votes lawfully cast in November were sufficient to produce a Trump victory. If they believe there was fraud—and if they believe that such fraud affected the outcome of the election—they must, as a body, convene immediately and send us that information, along with certified electoral votes cast by a Trump slate of electors. Absent such action, there is not a constitutional role for Congress to change the outcome of any state’s vote.

The text of the Constitution is clear. States select electors. Congress does not. Accordingly, our path forward is also clear. We must respect the states’ authority here. Though doing so may frustrate our immediate political objectives, we have sworn an oath to promote the Constitution above our policy goals. We must count the electoral votes submitted by the states."

If you want to talk to 'panicans' you should talk with Israel. They hit the panic button - that's why there's a cease fire.

Isreal took more damage and is in worse shape than Iran right now. Iran is much larger and has more stocks to fuel their combat efforts, far longer than Israel. Israel's air defense system is degraded and incapable of handling Iran's newer missiles. It is routinely overwhelmed by Iranian drones and older missiles. Being much larger, Iran isn't nearly as affected by Israeli strikes.

We've gone from UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER to a cease fire. This has been bad for Israel, tactically and strategically.

Further, there are now multiple nations interested in helping Iran attain nuclear weapons and the damage to Iran's nuclear program appears to be rather moderate, maybe minimal. If the damage has hindered their program from providing things like material for healthcare uses, I'm sure they'll easily get that stuff from other nations. Additionally, Iran now has a lot of motivation to go nuclear, thanks to this war. That is a huge lesson for them. I'd be shocked if they don't acquire nuclear weapons soon. Rogue nations that went nuclear (like NK) have not been attacked. All the nations that abandoned nuclear aspirations or simply de-weaponized as the result of demands from the West, got invaded.

There's been no regime change. It appears the people have rallied, not revolted. Despite targeted hits, Iran's command & control is still intact.

In short, Israel has fared worse and didn't get anything they sought. In fact, they may have hastened a nuclear armed Iran and potentially increased support for the Iranian regime among the Iranian people. This has been an L for Israel.

This has been bad for the US as well. Other nations see us as being duplicitous. We should disengage from this entirely.

After Hamas cooked babies alive in ovens and cut fetuses from a living mother these rational people celebrated the attacks.

I'm not sure that happened. I thought it was shown to be a hoax or misreporting. Hamas did enough that day that no one needs to resort to lies to paint the picture of their evil disposition.
From wiki:
The Hamas baby beheading hoax refers to allegations, since refuted, that Hamas killed and beheaded dozens of babies and toddlers during the incursion it launched into southern Israel on October 7, 2023, which constituted the first phase of the Gaza war. The allegations were first made by soldiers of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and members of Israeli civilian rescue groups in interviews with local and international journalists. The hoax was initially endorsed by then-US President Joe Biden, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and some IDF spokespeople, and was then spread credulously by Western media outlets, gaining widespread coverage and, arguably, helping to shape the consensus in favor of war on the Gaza Strip. Similar reports accused Hamas of hanging or slitting the throats of babies and burning others alive, including by stuffing at least one young child into a hot oven.[1]

Since then, only one victim of the October 7 violence in Israel has actually been identified as a baby – a 10-month-old girl who was shot by Hamas.[2] At times the Israeli government has discreetly admitted that the rumors about the beheaded children are unfounded. The hoax is argued by critics of the war on Gaza to be an example of atrocity propaganda and evidence that Israel is waging a "war on truth" during the Gaza war.[3][4]

Here's an Israeli MP saying that all the kids in Gaza should be killed.

Anyone thinking either side here is some great and wonderful group of people is sorely mistaken. We should stay out of this completely.
This is the dumbest cease fire in history. You can't ask one side to sit back for 12 hours and eat a bunch of missiles and do nothing.
Trump's writing is atrocious. Policy issues aside, that is embarrassing.
MAGA last month: Israel has no influence in this administration. Trump put Bibi in his place, he shut down conflict, bro, didn't you see his speech when he went after the war mongers, bro? Come on, bro, Trump is all about America, bro. If you question him you hate America.

MAGA last week: Trump told Iran to make a deal, bro. Trump didn't know Israel was gonna go, bro. He didn't know. Come on, bro, he didn't know. We're not involved, bro. We're not going to be involved in this, bro. Chill.

MAGA on Saturday: Look, Trump worked with Israel but it had to be done, bro. Trump would never do regime change, bro. He's too smart for that.

MAGA on Monday: Look, bro, there is some influence from Israel in this administration, bro, but if you think Trump isn't controlled by Israel, bro, I mean, if you think Trump is controlled by Israel, you take your pinko commie arse somewhere else, bro.

MAGA next Monday: I don't see why you have a problem with the Israeli flag being flown at the White House, bro.

I'm sure you're very consistent in your positions, so I'm glad you are onboard with bombing Israel for the USS Liberty, making the US the #1 target of its espionage efforts, and for using AIPAC as a platform to transfer classified data from the US to Israel.

The B-2 crews should be rested by now and the planes serviced. If they leave now they can be over the target by midnight. Where are the Israeli nukes kept?
Shapiro previously said the only reason he has loyalty to the US is because of Israel.
Every time Trump and AIPAC go after Massie he ends up with hundreds of thousands in unsolicited donations and more votes on election day. It might be even worse this time.

Unlike even Littte Rocket Man If the Ayatollah gets a bomb or bombs, he will use them. He won't hesitate,.

He obviously has the missiles to strike Israel and it only takes one to get through....no more Tel Aviv or even Jerusalem, or both. Riyadh, anywhere in range of those missiles.

They have to be stopped. We have to stop them.

If Iran wanted nukes, they would have had them long ago. They've never made a move to have the capability of strapping material atop a missile so it can be launched at Iraq, Israel, or any other location.
Watching some of you is like going back in time to 2003 and the legion of supremely gullible and profoundly stupid people that were all too eager to swallow the lies and take us to Iraq.
If these events were taking place with Biden, MAGA would be throwing a fit, but since it's Trump, MAGA now embraces Graham and Bolton.
The lesson for Iran is that it's better to go ahead and get some nukes. When the dust settles, they'll probably work with Russia, China, or Pakistan to make that happen.

The status quo with Iran, regarding nukes, was working. This is four minutes worth your time, explaining that Iran doesn't want nukes, some of the details on how things worked in their nuke program, and they don't have the capability of building one that can go atop a missile, etc.

Then watch for suicide bombers come after America and its interests.

Trump should give the order to destroy Iran's nuclear capability once and for all.

Iran (and a ton of other nations) has had more than enough Cesium-137 and other materials to generate a dirty bomb for a very long time. Every day in the US a source of material for a dirty bomb is lost. Around the world, every day, dozens of sources are unaccounted for.

Plutonium is relatively difficult to acquire and it would be easily traced to Iran if this happened. Much more common materials, more easily accessed, would be chosen.

Your post is idiotic and speaks to a complete lack of understanding of dirty bombs or life in general in the modern world. If this was Iran's play they would have smuggled one or more into Iraq decades ago and detonated it / them around US troop formations. The likelihood of tracking it back to Iran would have been close to zero. That is by far an easier path than smuggling such material across the world and into the US.
