I watched the interview and IDK about “slamming” it. He even says he doesn’t talk politics with anyone on tour because it’s a sensitive subject. He also stated that he understands not everyone will have the same viewpoint as him but still can be treated as a person.

That being said I disagree with his viewpoint but it’s dumb to make him out to be a villain for expressing his views.

Rational take.

He made statements that are flat out lies and Democrat talking points, so he is at best ill informed and ignorant to the subject. When your news source is NPR you opinion is skewed a bit. He should just play golf and STFU about politics and shite he is not informed about.

Im more surprised Rory said this:

"I've chosen to live in this country because I believe this country is the best country in the world. America is the land of opportunity, and it's the American dream. You work hard; you get rewarded. So I believe in all of that stuff"

Controversial in several ways.

Rory even led off by saying he isn’t even a citizen of this country but chooses to live here because he believes it’s the greatest country on Earth.

He’s sponsored by Nike and all Nike athletes (even middling ones) have access to Nike PR folks who prep them on social issues (if they want).

For Champ since he's so young I could see the appeal to walk the rope on this stuff. That's what I would do it's just dishonest to say it's oppressive. Not sure if that's actually what happened. My guess is he was more general about it.

I gained a ton of respect for Rory with this...

quote:

I've chosen to live in this country because I believe this country is the best country in the world. America is the land of opportunity, and it's the American dream. You work hard; you get rewarded. So I believe in all of that stuff.

If only those crying about racism and oppression would have a similar mindset.

The ANGC chairman needs to inform the players that while they are certainly entitled to an opinion....the moment that they start criticizing said organization on the grounds is the moment that their playing privileges are in jeopardy. This shite has to stop now. ANGC has nothing to do with state voting rules.

That kid seems insufferable. I think it's odd that he doesn't have any pics of his older, fully-white half siblings on his Instagram.
