Are you a white, heterosexual couple that are both associating with the gender you were born as? If so, that is kind of the point.

Nat Geo followed this issue up with an entire issue dedicatied solely to the "gender revolution." Been on a roll and I may not renew my subscription.

In the immigration issue it was extremely pro-refugee and only made a passing mention of the sex assaults in Germany (calling them "bizarre", perhaps subtly implying that they're not true). It did profile a few refugees who said they'd love to return to Syria but for some reason I doubt many ever will.

Define "family unit" and provide examples of your claim.

Huge problem in Europe. Only the poor immigrants are having babies. Big problem in Japan too but they aren't stupid enough to import masses of poor Muslims to fill the void.

While true in a vacuum, it's not as if these European powers have had no exposure to these groups immigrating. Or are we going to pretend that none of this has a deep history?

Family unit, as in the traditional nuclear family. Mom, dad, and children.

Example? Karl Marx.

Modern examples where this core principle has evolved and acted as subtext: Subsidizing abortion, gay marriage, and growing social normalization of childless homes and marriage less relationships (see Time cover in OP).

So people choosing who they love and making decisions on having children is a bad thing?

What's the solution to fix this, if you perceive it as a problem.

I have no problem with individuals choosing what they want to do in their lives. I don't even necessarily perceive this as a problem, yet. What I was replying to was the Time cover, and making a statement about a core tenet of the left. I doubt the author of the article even realizes what they're endorsing has its foundations in, but I bet they identify as left of center.

What I do find unsavory is subsidization and encouragement of these decisions by political actors. The erosion of the family unit concept is good for government, bad for the people.

But you're all about those "alpha male" theories, and think it's ridiculous to settle down until peak sexual maturity, years even decades after most people.

So you'll whine about the cultural degradation of your race, yet you'll laugh at the idea of doing your part because of your own narcissistic ideas.

You're either the greatest troll ever, or a hypocrite of epic proportions.

When someone has a family, they make decisions with their family in mind. They support causes and institutions with their family in mind as well. Erode the family unit, and people begin living for themselves and less likely to mind what happens to their wealth, estate, etc. The government is the beneficiary, naturally. I'm sure you would agree, the family structure and presence of both parents is best for nurturing successive generations.

eta. I realize I'm not explicitly answering how it's bad for the people... I'm operating on the universal truth that larger government ends up being bad for the people. Source: human history.

Japan has a very sound immigration policy.

It's the one to emulate.

I think it doesn't matter if its a dad/dad mom/dad mom/mom single parent etc. So long as both parties are able to care for the spawn they produce. Most single parents didn't make that choice either.

Can you provide me any statistical data or research which proves this or is this just your assumption?

What about Japan's history, economy, and geography makes you think we can, let alone should, emulate their immigration policy?

The child free culture amongst whites is getting absolutely out of control especially amongst the middle class and I'm just talking about americans.

It has to be nuclear disaster of epic proportions amongst middle class european whites.
