So your solution is they chose so it’s their fault and by your logic no one should chose it. One of the most important professions in the country should be relegated to people dumb enough to go to college for four years just to be poor, that’s essentially what you are saying.

What a great idea....Now let every teacher teach upper and upper middle income kids from two parent households.

That's every teacher's excuse as long as I've been alive. You know where a 12 year old girl would ask to slob my knob, in front of the class? Not in a Department of Defense school overeeas, where you were barely clearing civilian pay. Baton Rouge. But it happens when you have crappy parents. TikTok and iPad all day, and your kid is an idiot. Shocked.

Department of Defense funding for overseas schools what 30-50% of what it was at domestic schools. Yet more of the kids went to college, because the parents were involved. Enlisted, Officer, it didn't matter.

You also have plenty of rich parents that aren't involved these days, and where I live, it's largely Indian parents, oddly enough. I know why, but I won't state it here, yet.

While you're digging your grave, tell us exactly what "upper" and "Upper middle" income means.

I do love how you outed yourself with "two parent households." Well, no kidding.

Everyone always say this, but what's the solution?? We've been holding out for sweeping cultural change a few decades now and I'm a little skeptical. It just seems too high and dramatic to be a realistic option

At some point you have to stop expecting lemons to make turnip soup...

BS. Where today do teachers have 30-40 students in a class?

I’ll wait for your response.

When I was in school, 30-35 was the norm for all classes.

Today it’s 15-25 max. Everywhere.

giving teachers raises wont boost test scores and when theyre literally teaching the standardized tests theyre nothing more than glorified babysitters

This is false. It is compeltely untrue and demonstrates proof you have no fricking clue. I have taught so many classes of greater than 25 students and that was in Oxford, MS which is one of the best school districts in our state. And in my eight years, I recall one class of less than 15 students. Where did you pull this number from as some sort of imaginary max, everywhere?

Process standards, which every state has, dictates class size. Most allow larger classes as the grade level increases. In MS, which is not much different than the national standard - 22:1 in K, 27:1 grades 1-4, 30:1 in grades 5-8, and 33:1 in upper core classes. Teachers are maxed at 150 students per semester which was always my threshold teaching six classes. This is exempt only for A level schools which can be exempt and increase this number.

Maybe this is why Mississippi is ranked low in education outcomes.

In Ohio, I’ve been teaching for 15 years. No one in our high school, middle to upper middle class suburb, had more than 25 students. No one.

When I was a kid, we had 30-35 K-12. It’s a lot different today and teachers today cannot teach and manage 30-35 in a classroom.

Is that because teachers are worse than when I was a kid? No. It’s because of the degradation of society and the nuclear family.

Take out the Delta and you would have scores equal to Ohio. Are you speaking in absolutes based on just your school that you teach or is this state law? What do your process standards allow? Is it the same at the inner city and poor schools as well?

I had 32 first graders In my class in New Orleans in 2021. I’ve since left working in schools but I doubt I was special. You know there’s a teacher shortage, right?

Depends on the Teacher.

Leftist "Educators" have been shoe-horning their dangerous, evil world-views into every nook and cranny possible, regardless of how outright stupid it looks to normal people with functioning brains.

Feel free to Google "Math is racist".

All suburban and city schools in my area, Franklin County schools, basically Columbus,Ohio and surrounding suburbs, have maximum classroom sizes by contract, not by state edicts, though in the 25 per class regardless of subject.
