Elon is an international mover and shaker affecting the World in big ways. He has forfeited the luxury of "staying off the platform". Albeit he could go to a mountain retreat and comfortably watch the World burn.

There are some women out there that are absolutely nuts, but this woman is king of the hill on that front. She has got to be one of the most miserable people walking the planet.

why would a trillionaire with a global platform give a shite about what some no name podcaster has to say?
What do you care what a trillionaire does to protect his character? You are a bitch no matter what.

The Retaliator strategy is a behavior in evolutionary game theory that begins peacefully but fiercely defends itself if attacked. A Retaliator always starts an encounter acting like a cooperative 'Dove,' but if its opponent escalates the conflict, it immediately switches to an aggressive 'Hawk' tactic to fight back.
If the opponent backs down and becomes peaceful again, the Retaliator matches that shift and reverts to a Dove. This conditional flexibility allows Retaliators to cooperate efficiently with peaceful neighbors while successfully punishing bullies and predators without being exploited.
It combines a preference for peace with a credible willingness to retaliate, and in competitive terms outperforms both indiscriminate aggression and unconditional submission.
When a Retaliator meets a Bully (e.g., the Democrat Party), the interaction quickly exposes the Bully's empty bluff. The Bully begins the encounter aggressively by playing like a Hawk, which instantly triggers the Retaliator to abandon its peaceful default and fight back fiercely.
Because a Bully usually retreats when faced with real aggression, it panics and flees when the Retaliator pushes back with sufficient force. As a result, the Retaliator wins the entire resource with a low risk of injury, dominating the Bully and driving it toward evolutionary extinction.
The Doves benefit by from being around a Retaliator as well, gaining friendly interactions with it, and protection against bullies.
The Retaliator's strength lies not in seeking conflict, but in making exploitation unprofitable and unfounded agression costly. It cooperates whenever cooperation is possible, fights decisively when fighting becomes necessary, and stops fighting as soon as the threat has passed. In evolutionary terms, its success comes from aligning peaceful intentions with effective deterrence, and a willingness to use extreme measures when necessary.
It's the right choice

"I do find it a little IRONIC that the European countries who have NOTHING like the technology that Elon has developed in Starlink...these countries have almost universally decided to wage regulatory and licensing WAR against SpaceX. And now they're all running to SpaceX saying, 'please do what we need you to do?!'"
"European countries depend on American technology, American businesses, and the American military, while at the same time European political leaders love to bash the United States allies that they depend upon so much!"
"Elon Musk runs a private corporation. And I think it's completely understandable that he doesn't want to get in the middle of what is a war between two state actors without the United States government effectively directing him on what to do."
@ElonMusk is their favorite guy to bash...then they turn around and act entitled to his technology.
Same countries that want to fine and regulate him into oblivion!
This comes right after WSJ claimed that Musk ordered a Starlink slowdown that caught Ukraine off guard. Because of course they'd claim that!
The EU fined X under its Digital Services Act and has spent years going after Elon. Now Europe needs his satellites ??
They can't have it both ways. Vance nailed it
