True story about that photograph of JBE. If you look at the entire image, you may notice that the Louisiana flag has a slightly unnatural drape, where it seems to be upstaging the American flag. The drape of the flags are in that exact position intentionally because I was just out of the frame holding the flags so that they would be in that exact position.

Louisiana GDP hit a record this year, largest in history of state. Per Capita income grew close to 6%, which was reported in the advocate business section today.

Because he put his own money and name at stake here and he promised something most every other louisiana republican doesn't even have the balls to promise, a constitutional convention to get rid of the crappy Edwin Edwards promise.
Furthermore, he built a company that clears 350 million in annual revenue from his own hands and brain and you just don't attain that kind of success without a commitment to values, a work ethic and expertise.
Rispone is going to leave this race a humiliated man, a punch line that managed to lose a very winnable race. And Rispone knew that was the risk and he still did it anyway.
Just because he made a stupid mistake going after Abraham does not make him unworthy of office. He would've been an incredible Governor.
But you have to get elected to do that and he clearly sucked at campaigning and the rest is history.
