It was reported that Bush was a CIA asset in 1963.

JFK had recently railed hard against the CIA at the time and ousted Allen Dulles, the father of the deep state, who also happened to be very good friends with Prescott Bush.

Incidentally, the main dissenter on the Warren Commission was Hale Boggs. He felt the investigation was a farce and that they were being manipulated by the FBI. He disappeared, which was more elegant than what happened to JFK.

The way they got rid of Spiro Agnew and then Nixon in the following two years was even more elegant than that. Once they removed the VP and then the POTUS, they installed Gerald Ford who just happened to be on the Warren Commission and the guy that appoints Bush to run the CIa.

What a rabbit hole..

I heard Adam Curry on Rogan the other day said everybody remembered where they were when 9/11 happened and everybody remembered where they were when Kennedy was killed. He doesn’t buy Bush not remembering where he was that day.

That's the point. It's such an absurd thing to say he doesn't remember where he was when JFK was shot. Word spread fast. To me it was a way for him to insult the Kennedy family. Like, a Don Draper "I don't think about you at all" moment.

I was 5 years old and I remember where I was at that day. Out by one of the barns playing. My Grandfather had just moved some Angus Heifers by that barn. My Grandmother came outside and hollered at my Grandfather, “They have shot the President!” He came and told me to come with him, went inside and watched Walter Cronkite, WTVY out of Dothan.

He obviously couldn't say he was hanging out with Rafael Cruz now could he?

Maybe he was involved in this shooting? Maybe not directly.

I doubt it. The deep state compartmentalizes, and there was no need for GHWB to know anything.

Gerald Ford probably didn't realize that he was being put in line for the presidency, either. Probably just seemed like a crazy and unfortunate string of events to him.

And it would conveniently place a member of the CIA IN the Presidency.

Who else was CIA? Clinton for sure.

I first learned about this from Russ Baker's book Family of Secrets (2009).

He only remembered where he was the following Monday: debriefing the shooters.

Mrs. B's 6th grade class. She had just returned from the teachers' lounge from coffee break. I suppose they had a tv or radio in there.

ETA:

Elvis - Aug 16. 1977 - pulling into A&P parking lot; Jackson
John Belushi - Airport Blvd., Mobile after leaving work
Challenger - Purchasing Dept., Gulfport Memorial Hospital.

Those come to mind

I was in the Navy Exchange in Dam Neck, Virginia, when the News broke, "the President has been assassinated".

Can't speak of JFK, but I know exactly where I was when 9-11 was unfolding. And same for when the Challenger exploded.

The best part of the story is how Allen Dulles was still pretty much in charge of the CIA even after being fired by JFK. Dude was in a funk walking around his house in a bathrobe and slippers for a week and then went back to work being a slimy POS. Had near constant meetings with his people who remained in top posts at the agency.
