Except for in a presidential election in which case the Constitution says that elections must be held on the same day which in theory would prevent a revote. Luckily there is a built in safety net in which the state legislature awards the EC votes to a candidate. However, could you imagine the chaos if something like that happened?

Congratulations, My earnings are in a similar tier, with honors degrees in accounting, in finance and in law, with the equivalent of a minor in economics (4.0 in that field). One need not hold a STEM degree or an Ivy League to be bright or successful.

But I AM personally acquainted with literally dozens of men and women who hold Ivy League degrees, including a couple that I suspect were affirmative action admissions.

There is not ONE of them that I would consider to be anywhere NEAR the bottom half of the IQ distribution, even if a couple are somewhat “ivory tower” and less than practical.

If someone were to post that Louie Gohmert is the dumbest candidate ever to run for elected office, I would disagree with them too. I do not think that Gohmert is particularly bright. I doubt he is much above average.

But I hardly would agree that he is the dumbest candidate ever fielded.
