Unbelievable that he was allowed to go on this long. Dozens of people and multiple tests blowing all zeros yet he still arrested them. The death penalty should apply to government agents who have such blatant disregard for the Constitutional rights of US citizens.

Cue the outrage of the faux conservative bootlickers... "Jerst dewin his jawb!"

I’m usually accused of being one of those, but I agree with you 100% on this.

Uh, the article was published Feb 21...

But I'm guessing you have about 3-4 layers of boot polish buildup on your tongue.

Even with the dismissed charge it's still bullshite. If I am filing out a federal form asking if I have ever been arrested what tf do I do? I hope all these people sue sue sue.

Playing Devils advocate.

This officer was probably not trained properly and in his training--or lack there of-- failed himself and his dept.

I need to have Tucker Carlson tell me what to think before I can comment.

This man should be prosecuted and the mere fact that the DA said there doesn’t appear to be a prosecutable offense is unsurprising..

So then tell me, what is the point of the breath test if these morons in blue will just arrest you anyway because that's what their fragile little egos want? These breath tests were not borderline, they came back 0.00 on multiple takes. This isn't faulty training. This is a tyrant that needs to be removed from our society.

Btw, never submit to a field sobriety test. I will only ever submit to a breath or chemicall test as that is what I agreed to when I signed my driver's license. I'm not doing any obstacle course on the side of the road. It's just a means for them to claim you were wobbly or some other BS.

Is there any civil suit to be had here? These people had to bail out and pay to get their car back from the tow yard, and that's before any sort of personal problems this caused. People could have lost their jobs, not gotten a job, suffered embarrassment, etc. I'm not much for frivolous "pain and suffering" lawsuits but this is fricked up

Not a douchebag at all. People around here will twist themselves into a pretzel to defend cops.

I'd go down swinging before I let some POS high school drop out arrest me for blowing a 0.0

Death penalty?

That’s harsh. Why not just loss of immunity and open season on civil liability.

Glad to see the system worked. Hopefully he gets charged with something.

Evidence.

An officer can still show a driver had impairment with a .000 or with a refused test

quote:

These breath tests were not borderline, they came back 0.00 on multiple takes.
so maybe they were impaired and under the influence of another type of intoxicating substance

quote:

This isn't faulty training

Actually it is. If subjects are testing a .000 but the officer still feels there is impairment and doesn’t go a step further for a blood draw warrant it is a lack of training.

this just makes no sense to me. Why would a cop want to build a reputation of having DWI arrest thrown out for doing bad work?

Nah I think him losing his job and getting sued into oblivion is more fitting
