NFL Draft prospect Nick Bosa cleanses Twitter account of political messages over chances he'd end up with 49ers

Bosa, who regularly tweeted about his support for President Trump and his disdain for jobless activist quarterback Colin Kaepernick, revealed to ESPN he deleted those tweets over fears he may not be fully embraced by the city of San Francisco should he get drafted to the 49ers at the end of the month.

Congrats Nick on being a giant vagina

People can't have their own opinion about something bc he may end up in SF which is 3000 degrees left of left

people get DRAFTED and have little power to decide where they play (until they reach Free Agency).

I have no issue with his doing this. I regret that it is needed. But, I understand him not wanting to be the "hero" here.

The frick are you talking about? It's a business decision (just like everything in the NFL). If he wants any local endorsements from the local area, then this is the right move.

Seems like a smart dude chasing money.

If I were in line to make millions of dollars in a public capacity, I would delete every single social media account, after completely scrubbing everything and every picture I have ever put up.

Better move would mean not have social media at all...

Yeah I don't see why this is "pathetic". It's a business decision really.

MJ is praised for staying apolitical throughout his career. Fortunately for him, he didn't have a decade worth of social media history that archived every dumb thing he said in his teens.

Most athletes would be better off doing the same.

The whole point of him deleting this stuff in detail ending up as a new story is a bit counter-productive no?

This just in, guy tweets about a murder he committed with a chainsaw to a women but deletes the tweets hoping the cops in his home town of dumbass, USA won't find out

When the NFL went political, I stopped watching.

Well, I mean, he posted those opinions while playing on a largely black team and it clearly wasn't a big enough issue to matter.

Which was smart

Nick, for the last few years, chose a different route and he was an adult.

I think it's wise to avoid such things, but if you're going to do it, deleting it later does literally NOTHING for you

The people that would hate you for the tweets will STILL hate you for them

Hell, I'd leave them up if it meant I might not have to play in San Fran. That would be an upside to this argument. He'll still get his big bucks somewhere.

This story getting out means it’s too late for Bosa. The usual liberal social media firestorm against Bosa is in full effect today.

I seriously think the 49ers might not take him now that this is out there. You can laugh at me all you want. Yes, the Bay Area libs are just that insane.......

Except this has nothing to do with the NFL though.
