The Food and Drug Administration is working to approve the Pfizer and BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine on Monday, The New York Times reported, citing sources.

The review process could move past that date, The Times said, as paperwork and negotiations with the company continue.

The move would make it the first vaccine to go from emergency use authorization to full FDA approval.

The FDA declined to comment on the Times report to CNBC.

They were below 50% effective, how in the hell could they even sniff approval?

So once it's approved I guess we lost one of the big reasons not to get it?

Moderna was over 70% effective and Phizer dropped to 46, don’t it need to be > 50%? FDA would have to scrap their own protocol.

Below 50% effective after 6 months. Data coming out of Israel says the booster brings it to 86% vs the variant (higher than Moderna).

Immunity after the third shot will likely last years if it follows similar logic to other prime-prime-boost regimens

Negotiations ?? WTF is there to negotiate? Either it meets the required standards or it doesn't.

Sounds like some people will be driving around in shiny new Caddies new weekend.

I think so. If it was a fact based decision they would be removed from the shelves

That means the vaccine companies are now liable for any harm, correct?

Yeah right
