Still a bad argument. I already gave you an example of real change occurring through a change in mentality. but your rebuttal is still "shite happens man just shite happens"

It's a bad comparison. Construction companies reduced accidents by providing their employee's with better safety equipment and training. Holding their employee's accountable for their actions. Sounds good doesn't it? And for all intents and purposes it is. But there is one thing different between applying this to the police department. People. Police interaction with people is a lot different than a construction worker attaching a safety harness while walking a beam. And once again, construction companies decided to invest more money to provide this change or otherwise they would go out of business. How are police departments funded?

Fair enough..but doesn't actually seem all that accurate. Hand in glove with the 17 year old getting..possible beat up..possibly injured in a running tackle and face meeting concrete..likely a combination of both, is the belief that the cops "beat him up". The evidence has yet to be provided.

Those here that have the opinion that the cops beat the kid are basing it on the most likely probability. It is no different than those saying that if the kid was running than he probably did something wrong. To the police The average citizen on the street is guilty of something until proven otherwise, the police are now being judged by the same standard because of their past actions.

How so? It's a stretch at best. Using your criteria any stray shot would be something to be tried for. Again...a drunk driver purposely put themselves in a condition that kills more people in traffic accidents than all police shootings accidental, or justified.

How is that similar to an LEO placed in a situation of confronting an armed crazy person?

You can believe what you want, but reality doesn't "care". You seem to be advocating that a cop...or any citizen, such as yourself..wait until a bullet leaves a gun..the club is swung, or the knife thrown by an obviously crazy person, before reacting. Is this what you would do?

Not really. He did do something wrong. He ran from the police. Possibly being a gun totin' little bitch is beside the point.
What do you suggest..anyone who runs in defiance to his/her responsibility to not escalate a situation by not complying to the request to talk to the police, should just be allowed to get away?

Thats absurd.

Did these 3 officers have a history of such behavior? If not, what is the context of that claim?

That's what I'm wondering. I never knew Troy, AL was the bastion of police brutality. Have there been more accounts of police beatings that we don't know about? More FB post of people put in the hospital by the Troy PD?

Even if it is that shouldn't stop us from pursuing more training and accountability.

Through the government which will never increase funding or training unless we start the discussion. Having the "well you know accidents happen" attitude will never allow that discussion to even start.

Tomorrow probably decides whether this blows up. Rally organizer said Fruit of Islam and Huey Newton Gun Club are coming to provide "security" for the event. Some outside instigators involved have been aggressive online. Family was wearing All Lives Matter shirts today but BLM is coming to the protest. If there's any significant presence, one bad apple could start a riot.

Speaking of bad apples, anyone seen this fool all over social media on this case, Gerald Jackson, claiming to be an independent journalist blogger that has been in contact with the family? He hasn't been. I have that on a solid, solid source. And I'll just leave these links here for everyone's amusement.

Looks very F'd up, but if they did indeed find a gun that can be linked to him, then he was up to something and F him.
Too early to tell at this point, but I have no doubt this is gonna blow up. Maybe the cops will do that to Sharpton when he shows up - one can always hope.

Police, if experienced, usually know their enemies on the street

Unfortunately there's no way we can ever hear their side of the story, the probable true story, before the racial justice(SJW) leaches Sharpton/Jackson etc cabal create headlines that overshadow all else

It will soon. The protest is Saturday. Family has hired Benjamin Crump, the lawyer that represented the Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin families.

And the lawyers and SJW's haven't seen or been made aware of the Confederate Memorial to Pike County soldiers that is standing in the town square since 1908. Al Sharpton and BLM will try to make an issue of this, too, if all else fails. Maybe the IRS will be there waiting for Al Sharpton to pay his tax bill? LINK

Let me get this straight,
A dude is snooping around a business at night. Cops see someone that they know isn’t supposed to be there. If he was an employee, lights would be on etc.
The cops tell him to freeze and he hauls arse. The cops have to give chase and tackle the runner and struggle with him to handcuff him. In the process of being tackled to the ground and subdued, he gets a nasty black eye.
Now the cops are wrong because someone that failed to freeze, hauled arse and made them chase him got a black eye? Wtf?
Look, let’s be fricking honest, if it’s possible for our black or liberal posters. I doubt you can see past your bigotry but let’s try.
We all know the attitude these urban black kids have. My place of employment is next to chemical plants adjacent black residential areas. I see it everyday. The black youth are unsupervised and roam in packs. They are rude, aggressive and showboat in front of each other. They live the gangbanger role they learned from pop culture. They have no respect for the law at all and a hatred for whites
This kid hauled arse because he knew he was up to no good. There was no reason for his being there at night. He ran and he got banged up when apprehended. They think they can steal anything they want to because the media and racebaiters will tell them they should because whites are privileged. This dude wouldn’t have been hurt if he didn’t run. He ran because he didn’t want to answer for his actions. Blacks feel like they don’t have to be accountable to anyone because they are allowed to.
