Freedom is tyranny. Tyranny is freedom. Questioning either premise should get you banned.

This week in a Guardian piece, Robert Reich actually "reasons" that freedom is tyranny, and tyranny is freedom. He then happily acknowledges that questioning either premise will get you banned from forums like twitter. He claims for it not to be so would be "dangerous".
Do these people even hear themselves?
Do they not have the slightest element of self-awareness?
The only thing more ironical would be if Reich had penned this piece for the Bezos-owned Washington Post.
So ....
"Musk says he wants to “free” the internet....
That’s Musk’s dream. And Trump’s. And Putin’s. And the dream of every dictator, strongman, demagogue and modern-day robber baron on Earth. For the rest of us, it would be a brave new nightmare."

Meanwhile, Twitter made clear it is opposed to free speech...
"Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment, but our role is to serve a healthy public conversation and our moves are reflective of things that we believe lead to a healthier public conversation.
The kinds of things that we do about this is, focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed.
One of the changes today that we see is speech is easy on the internet. Most people can speak. Where our role is particularly emphasized is who can be heard.”

Elon Musk’s vision for the internet is dangerous nonsense

The Russian people know little about Putin’s war on Ukraine because Putin has blocked their access to the truth, substituting propaganda and lies.
Years ago, pundits assumed the internet would open a new era of democracy, giving everyone access to the truth. But dictators like Putin and demagogues like Trump have demonstrated how naive that assumption was.
At least the US responded to Trump’s lies. Trump had 88 million Twitter followers before Twitter took him off its platform ...
These moves were necessary to protect American democracy. But Elon Musk – the richest man in the world, with 80 million Twitter followers – wasn’t pleased. Musk tweeted that US tech companies shouldn’t be acting “as the de facto arbiter of free speech”.
...
Will Musk use his clout to let Trump back on? I fear he will.

One of the most glaring differences between liberals and progressives.

The problem with censorship is that it pisses intelligent people off. Many many people have the ability to hear all different sides of an issue and still form an opinion that is just for everyone. Twitter is essentially saying to the world "you aren't smart enough to form your own opinions" because it is "unhealthy".

I can only imagine some Twitter user … in 1775 or so… “Give me liberty or give me death”
“Sorry you have violated the terms of service and you are banned”
“Sorry you have violated the terms of service and you are banned”

That's why I dubbed then proRegressives. They are taking our free-ish society in reverse.

How did we ever get by without Twitter to tell us what was good and what was bad?

Sounds exactly what a Reich would say.

Does anyone read those words and think he’s right? Does he even believe his own bullshite?

Biden literally lies every time he speaks.
I’m a professor!

He’s fully aware he is gaslighting, but the ends justify the means

Reich is a smarmy little authoritarian gnome and probably got stuffed in lockers as a kid.

This guy should change his first name from Robert to Fourth.

Same way Democrats look at black people. Curious isn’t it?

That is nothing new. Democrats have been saying that to black folks since they dragged them across an ocean to work their plantations.

Is this a joke? The same thing is happening here

And then he follows it up with this.
I can reel off several dozen lies and stories buried by big tech for the government. I’m talking large, dangerous lies. The biggest being Russia collusion and burying of Biden laptop. How many Covid lies were peddled?

Everything the groomers profess is actually the opposite in reality.
Progressive = regression
Diversity = echo chamber
Inclusion = exclusion for thought
Equity = give me white people's chit
Racism = kill whitey
