A new study from the Pentagon shows that 77% of young Americans would not qualify for military service without a waiver due to being overweight, using drugs or having mental and physical health problems.

A slide detailing the findings from the Pentagon's 2020 Qualified Military Available Study shared with Military.com shows a 6% increase from the latest 2017 Department of Defense research that showed 71% of Americans would be ineligible for service.

I would imagine that most people who join the military right now are doing strictly from a financial standpoint. I doubt many are joining from a sense of patiotic duty. I am sure there are some, but not an overwhelming majority.

They left out criminal records as well. Many need a moral waiver approved before enlisting and those are not easily approved nowadays.

But sta4ever told me there isn’t a country anywhere in the world that could beat the US. It’s like he’s an idiot or something.

He may be but right now our military would crush any other military. Also these issues are concerning. Both can be true.

Has there been some massive improvement in leadership since the failures in Afghanistan I’m not aware of? Because until that changes, the US military won’t crush anyone and arguably hasn’t since WW2.

The 1/5 have parents who are telling them not to waste your life in Ukraine for Biden’s money

Win all the battles but if the political will is lacking you won’t win. We did preserve the existence of South Korea and forced Iraq out of Kuwait. But don’t let facts get in the way of your narrative.

They have fatty units in enlisted Basic

In a national emergency the draft makes all of that moot.

I was in for 9 years 7 months and 13 days. I don't see how this America is worth fighting anymore. Good luck.
