After 150+ years, turns out it wasn’t enough to placate the descendants of slaves and certainly not those of African descent who are in no way, shape, or form connected with slavery other than by the color of their skin. Would 400 acres and 40 mules have been enough? What about 4000 acres and 400 mules? What would have been sufficient to satisfy the stalwarts of today’s Democratic Party?

You are painting with a broad brush.

Many many blacks do not agree with this reparations bullshite.

Don't let the MSM drag you into believing this crap.

Reparations have already been paid and then some:

Generational welfare
hiring quotas
scholarship quotas
millions of dollars given through charity for scholarships
free housing/rent controlled housing

on and on ...

It will never be enough no matter what is given. It's to easy for most of these people to go through life playing the role of a victim. They always have someone else to blame. It will be this way until the end of time.

The only answer is to tell all of the so called "victim's" that enough is enough. No more free handouts! Deal with it!

You do realize "40 acres and a mule" was a lie propagated by Sherman & Co to convince slaves to rebel against Southerners?

How many people died during the civil war? I think this country paid a very heavy price for this sin and righting the sin.

Wonder how many of those 40 acres farms are still owned by the original families and have been successfully farmed and expanded into large farming operations like their white generational farmer counterparts?

Surely being given land for free and a mule for free, they were able to maximize profit and expand right?

First of all most slaves were denied the ability to learn to read and write. So they weren't prepared for freedom or to live in society at the time.

Probably none because Andrew Johnson overturned the decision in 1865 before it could ever be implemented.

But you knew that, I’m sure.

The Democratic Party and the federal government in general have kept black people enslaved through entitlement programs directly aimed at keeping minorities in poverty and dependent on the government.
