Joe diGenova's resignation Thursday seemed abrupt, but I understand tension with Justice Department leadership in Washington D.C. had been building for months.
Justice Department officials in Washington favored a false-statements case in D.C. for Brennan, the only realistic place for a charge of lying to Congress.
Brennan testified that the Democratic-funded Steele dossier, which portrayed Trump as a Russian asset, was not used in the 2017 intelligence assessment about the election. However, the discredited dossier was part of the package and in related language
Sources familiar with the matter say diGenova argued that an indictment, let alone a conviction, from a D.C. jury was unlikely.
diGenova then pursued leads that could theoretically support charges in Florida, where juries are viewed as more favorable to the Trump administration.
TIMING: President Trump has been very public about his frustration with the lack of Florida indictments.
An indictment before the midterms would likely be welcomed by the White House.
In response to my questions, a Justice Department spokesperson provided this statement. “We are grateful to Joe diGenova for his many years of service to the Department. The Attorney General thanks him for his work these past five months alongside the great team of experienced prosecutors in the Southern District of Florida, led by U.S. Attorney Jason Reding Quiñones.”
A source familiar with the issue insisted there was "no disagreement, but rather cooperative discussion" on how to proceed in the Brennan case.

Which tracks with what SFP has been talking about for awhile now. Trying to tie Mar a Lago into a broader conspiracy for venue and stretching of SOL purposes.
Aileen Cannon’s signed warrant is going to sit as an impediment in that chain (among other things). There’s irony in that considering her role in dismissing the Mar a Lago case.

You know...about 9 years ago...I used to get fired up about this kind of shite. Now...after watching and learning that this NEVER amounts to jack shite...I pretty much ignore this stuff. For your own sanity, I suggest you do the same.(as much as I wish these aholes would get drug out). Sadly..for whatever reason, this will disappear like everything else. We are pretty much doomed to endure this garbage....so my suggestion is to take your significant other to dinner and just forget all of this stupidity. Nothing we can do about it...and this nonsense is just nonsense.

Not to mention Trump and Co. are going to run into the same timing problem as Jack Smith did with him.
Every substantive ruling is going to the 11th Circuit and then SCOTUS. No way they get a trial within the remaining two years of Trump’s term.

I've held off, but I need to say it. A lot of people assume the florida tie in is only the MAL raid.
I don't think that's the case, because, as you mentioned, that was a legal search.
Nobody outside of the Florida team for the DOJ knows what's going on.
