Well, I think you're wrong. At least in Louisiana.
After some internet searches, I've learned that Enhanced Drivers Licenses exist, and they do show citizenship. However, they are only available in 5 states (Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington).
Further, according to federal regulations (42 CFR 435.407), the following documents are accepted as stand-alone proof of citizenship:
- U.S. Passport or Passport Card
- U.S. Birth Certificate
- Certificate of Naturalization
- Certificate of Citizenship
Again, I don't walk around with my passport or birth certificate, so how would I prove I'm legal if I'm captured by ICE?

This is dumb. You act like ICE is just randomly stopping brown people to check for ids. These are targeted raids. They have lists of people they are looking for. That's why ICE said they are targeting 500 or whatever people in the NOLA raid. They have a list. They are not just stopping and checking every hispanic until they reach a quota.
They are not just randomly showing up at someone's house asking to check for citizenship as your scenario implies. You need better examples.
