Do you think Antifa/BLM should be given a pass as "Mostly Peaceful Protestors" while at the same time calling Trump supporters in DC Terrorist's and Insurrectionists?

I haven’t called Trump supporters in DC either of those things. As far as I can tell, the vast majority (there were a LOT of people in DC) did not choose to storm the barricades or assault police officers. The vast majority were just out there exercising their first amendment rights.

Which, by the way, was also true for BLM over the summer. The majority of those protesters did not participate in violence and destruction. There were plenty of completely peaceful protests across the nation.

In both cases, you had law abiding citizens exercising their constitutional rights and you had nutcases or criminals who showed up with the intention of creating chaos. In both cases, it’s likely that there were also some quantity of bad actors pretending to be part of the protest in order to advance an opposing agenda by inciting riots. In both cases, it’s likely that there were people who WERE part of the protest and did not intend to riot, but got sucked in by the bad actors (whether they were on the same side or not) and proceeded to riot anyway.

To me, the scene at the Capitol pales in comparison to the scale of the BLM riots. However, the fact that the Vice President of the United States along with the next two people in the line of presidential succession were in the building and had to be evacuated is a pretty big deal from a national security standpoint.

I hope you showed just as much resolve in your position over the summer while cities, courthouses, and business burned.

I most certainly did. Did I plaster this board with those thoughts? Doubtful, because there’s not much point in commenting when everyone is pretty much in agreement that burning down buildings is bad.

Right now, though, you have people on this board saying that the people who stormed the Capitol didn’t go far enough.
