Recently traveled to Mexico, and several countries across Europe including Israel in the past month. Mainly France, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary etc.

Anyone else travel abroad. If so, what was your read on the locals and their feel for politics. Particularly how the west is handling things, and their understanding of our stance on the global stage.

Had many interesting conversations wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.

In Eastern Europe extremely concerned about Ukraine.

It's a good time to go to Europe if you are an American, the dollar is strong and many things are cheap. A beer and a few brats in Munich will set you back 10 bucks.

We want to know about your many interesting conversations, their perspective on how the west is handling things, and their understanding of our stance on the global stage.
Same things you asked about in your OP.

they feel like we're dumb for guns and healthcare without having much appreciation for the different circumstances and culture differences between our societies and its development/growth.

they like our sports and media.

I don’t really focus on politics when I travel abroad.

I have European family and friends in different countries that all have different views.

Extremely concerned why the Russian Ruble is stronger now compared to what it was in January compared to the USD. (Pre war). And why the vast majority of energy is still supplied by Russia via pipelines NATO nations approve. To this day.

I just found that surprising given the money and weapons we sent Ukraine.

I respect that. This isn’t political. It’s common sense.

Thank you! I’m honestly wondering if anyone else has traveled Europe recently and felt the sentiment.
