We have two F150: a 2010 and a 2015 with 225k and 185k miles respectively.
The prices right now are astronomical. $60k for a moderately equipped XLT. Jeez. Hard to imagine going up on those already elevated prices.
Are they taking $12k to $16k off like Chevy is already taking.

There isn’t much difference between protectionist tariffs and a bailout. One just happens sooner.
Fair enough.
One of the problems with subsidizing/protecting industry is when the protections are gone, so are they, usually.
It leads to corporations even more addicted to "rent seeking behaviors."

Not long ago people were paying those prices. I might be tempted to go back to horse and buggy if those post covid prices remained that way.

Trade increases wealth by transferring a good or a service to someone that values it higher.

You mean they're not going to just eat it?
Eat what exactly? If the tariffs benefit any company, it’s Ford. They are being given a competitive advantage.
Further, the differences between their “prices” and what they wind up selling their cards for is greater than just about any other automaker.

There's an infographic on page 6 you should look at.

That'll help sales.

Ford better buy more land to store their inventory.

That doesn't create wealth. It's just money and goods changing hands, but if you don't know the difference I can't help you. You're saying the same thing over and over, and it's just a version of "We pay higher prices, yada yada, the economy turns fabulous."
Say what? Lol. Why don't you explain to all of us then.

You have the perfect opportunity to explain your whole position on wealth to all of us.

This may come as a shock to you, but even if it was about Trump's overall plan it's possible for a thinking person to agree with parts of it and not others. But the topic is about tariffs and their impact.
Who demanded that you had to agree with everything Trump? Not me.
The topic IS about tariffs and their impact WITHIN Trump's economic plan.

Nope!

You should also familiarize yourself with the graphic on page 6.

I've been posting for a few pages. You can read, presumably. Not that you've read an economics book, but you can probably read.

In other words you can not explain what wealth is.

I get it now. You are like Roger.

To you? Probably not.
This would be easier if you would just quote something I've said that you take issue with. I'm not interested in playing word games.
