Best advice in this thread. Took some training from an ex navy Seal. Seals train to deescalate whenever possible. When they travel the driver is always responsible for keeping the doors locked and the windows up. He had several occasions when he would have been justified killing someone but would have put his team at risk. Basic message sometimes it's better to live to fight another day.

Like I said in my OP, if I’m armed, I’d calmly let them know that I’m armed. I wouldn’t brandish it, I’d simply say, “Listen motherfrickers, I’m armed and I will defend myself. I’m not saying or doing anything that you demand. We can resolve this peacefully if you get out of the way and let me through, or you can suffer the consequences. I’ve got a truck and a gun and will use both to protect myself. Your choice.”
