I very much hate Trump and the GOP--do I agree that those athletes should boycott SEC schools? No, but it's a free country, so they can choose to attend or not attend a school for whatever reason they want (OP thinks this is "communist-ish" based on some retarded MAGA reasoning). I would respect them for potentially turning down millions of dollars to take a stand on their principles.

I think what he is saying and is incorrect in his stance is you are either all in or you a sicko communist and there are those but most everything falls on a bell shape curve. People's politics do as well. There are things I like that he's doing but wish he would shut the hell up at times. So there are those the agree with some of his policies and disagree with others. Rational people probably are at the top of the curve.

You already know the answer. You’re either in the gang or you’re not.

What percentage of boycotting athletes or what percentage of NIL money do you expect them to voluntarily turn down?

If they’re getting recruited by an SEC school, I’m pretty sure non-SEC schools are also recruiting them.

Um, Trump is a lifelong Democrat who switched to the GOP just to run for President and is clearly a neo-con RINO today.

I can still list a few things I like if you want...

Can you tell us some of the things you “didn’t get” in 2024 that you “got” in the first term?

From an economic perspective, first term Trump used broad tax cuts and deregulation to stimulate the US economy and was, ultimately successful. However, second term Trump abandoned that policy in favor targeted tax cuts (like no tax on tips) and market-interventionist regulations (bordering on state capitalism) with much worse results.

From a foreign policy perspective, this is where he is most disappointing. In his first term, he leveraged US military and economic power to end global conflicts and give us one of the rare periods of peace in US history. He’s abandoned that strategy for more military interventionalist policy leading to direct military conflicts.

Can you follow that with whether you believe you would have “gotten” more of what you “wanted” with the other 2024 choice you had?

Of course not, but that isn’t the question. If the standard for politics is to be marginally better than the democrats then our entire country is screwed.

Why be in a club in the first place if you don’t agree with them? It’s pretty much why people are getting primaried.

Ugh. I don’t think he’s trying to be in the in group here.

Therefore the question doesn’t apply to him.

Democrats have no policies that help WORKING Americans just made up narratives or rinse and repeat topics. Lol if you vote Democrat. Democrat the UnAmerican party.

What I think he’s saying is that the two political parties are so diametrically opposed, with one of them heading straight into a gay version of Mordor. So, in this type of environment, listening to you goons cry about blowing up fishing boats or dropping bombs on the Middle East like I’m pretty sure every president since I’ve been born has done, is exhausting.

That's a long way to say "stop talking about things I don't want you to talk about."

Why would any intelligent person who understands politics ever break it down like this? This is the decision-making of a simpleton

If that’s the case, shouldn’t we expect Republican politicians to operate in a fashion that doesn’t alienate a majority of American voters leading to Democrat political victories?

A good follow-up question would be "why did this version of the Republican party adopt so many Democrat policies?"

Just look at his language how it's coded traditional Democrat, helping working Americans and all that.

To be fair, first term Trump policies actually did help working class Americans through substantive means by significant economic stimulation.

The old “pro-working class” democrat policies were more centered around business regulation and union power which ultimately led to a mass departure of US business overseas.

The tagline may be similar but the substance was different.

I agree. The Democrats hate him, because he plays them at their own game and wins. The Democrats have nothing but, OMB and Identity politics. Oh also no leader.
