re: For those of you over age 50-55....did you ever think you would see the fall of America?

It’s now declined to the point of madness. We’ve crossed the point of no return in my opinion. I don’t see anything that will restore decency and the rule of law in our communities.
I see America on a rapid downward spiral that is not going to stop. Democrats did this to us.

I often wonder how we would have experienced the 90s with the internet and social media like it is today.

I’ve expected it for awhile. The USA has to fall for the NWO, one money system, microchip implanting etc. to take place.

Hell, I realized america was gone when we didn't full on embrace boy George.

52yo. It was pretty clear that this was an inescapable outcome that my grandkids would have to deal with. Never, did I believe that the communists could takeover so much so quickly. Evil is like that though.

I have seen a lot of stupidity in my 66 years.
But I never thought that I would see Americans bow down to a government like this.
There was a time in the 50's when the nation was all up in arms thinking that the Soviet Union was infiltrating the US in secret.
Now we all know that China is destroying us from within with stealing technology and fentnoyl and we ignore it.

Yes. Our nation has been in decline since the 60s. I'm surprised we've made it this far, but the fall of the Soviet Union has helped.
When I was just 9 years old and not yet a 5th grader, the President of the United States resigned in disgrace, got on a helicopter, and just flew away. He was replaced by a sitting Veep no one had voted for.
Its hard to describe how my world view was shattered that Summer. Like seeing your father cry for the first time.
Its been "every man for himself" ever since.

Without a doubt the most ignorant post (or troll) on this board in quite some time.
If you're not too much a weasel, why don't you explain what is it exactly that makes you hold Russia in higher esteem than America?

The leftist up in this thread don’t ignore it, they support it.

BS...it's just not being reported by the MSM because it makes the progressive politicians that they cover for look bad. Liberal DA's will not come down hard on criminals for the exact same reason...it makes their policies look like the failures that they are. Ask any Law enforcement officer if crime isn't out of control and if any attempt for them to do their job is not frowned upon by the left. The number of police leaving their jobs now in many cities is staggering, and it's because they are not allowed to fight crime anylonger!

This is the most braindead take ever.
Asking individual LEOs their opinion about crime is going to have huge elements of recency bias.
Crime rates across the West (not just America) have trended downwards significantly. Unless you're arguing this is somehow a conspiracy to make crime rates look good, crime is lower today than it was 30 years ago.
America's inner cities were on fire 30 years ago - for example, Times Square was full of street hookers, crime and sexual depravity back in the 70s.

Exactly.
When you pretend that crime doesn’t exist, and refuse to prosecute it, then the crime rate goes down.
Hell, the police are frustrated to the point to where they don’t even make arrests anymore.
Shoplifting is basically a sport (virtually no longer a crime) in many large cities. In Seattle, one store owner called the police 599 times for theft over a 19 month period. Amazingly, only 8 instances involved prosecution.
So frick your “stats.”
They are worthless.
A documentary on Seattle by a local news channel (ABC affiliate):
Start a the 10 minute mark for a quick recap of the issues - watch for 8 minutes...that is enough

I am 65, never dreamed this country would be so divided. I blame a lot of this on social media, where the geeks started their own private revenge of the nerds. Media doesn't even try to hide their bias today. One thing for sure, America is no longer a great nation, the politicians are not only wanting power, but global power. The difference today, is that it is all right in our faces now, but too many sheep are hypnotized because they follow the hand that feeds them their fix, a few crumps for a vote. My Dad would have been 100 this past March, was glad he got to see Trump (who he loved) become President, but if he saw the past election with the Biden steal, I think he would have gone postal against libs. And understand, my Dad was a lifetime Democrat, but after Carter, he started a gradual change to Repub side. Imagine how that generation feels about today!

You need to add the 1992 Rodney King riots.
