Is he insane? If not, then it should be the maximum allowed by the law. If he is insane then confined to an asylum for life.

Nope. Still terminated. There are precious few asylums and he'd be taking up space. He'd also be a danger to his fellow nutjobs.

Yours will be a popular position, but humane societies don’t kill insane people; we confine them.

How is permanent, restrictive confinement "humane"?

How can they not have double doors, like at an airport.

Problem solved.

Oh, and kill ANYONE who intentionally tries to kill another human. Successful or not

It’s more humane than killing someone, as you implied when you objected to life imprisonment and insisted on death.

I disagree. Caging a human for 30-50yrs is far less humane than simply ending their life. There really ARE things worse than death.

There's also the problem with allowing "humanity" overtake the cause for justice. Some shitty pibble kills a person, it's put down- this is the way it should be for all creatures.

Almost everyone on death row, with an occasional exception, works to get their sentence commuted to life in prison. Maybe you would be that exception.

Dum Spiro Spero is why... they aren't hoping for another 40 years caged, though.. they're hoping for a way out.

Involving excruciating pain.

Let them know it won’t be quick and painless.

assumng it was an intentional act I'd go with a charge of murder. I don't know if it meets the elements of First Degree under New York criminal law.

Give him the same treatment. Tie him up and lay him across a track where a train runs once a day. Leave him there, record it and display it in all the train stations as a teaching aid.
