Cmon man. I’m not collecting data over here. I’m taking care of some really sick people. I had some with underlying conditions and some with absolutely no medical history at all.

U drive by empty hospitals? That doesn’t mean they don’t have patients. U do realize the hospitals have visitor restrictions right? I’m in the New Orleans area where it’s really bad. What area are you in as you may be correct with the hospitals being at a low census?

Btw, I realize we are going to prolly agree to disagree, but this is a good discussion.

I have no doubt you aren't collecting data, and that's the point I'm driving home. You're giving us your personal experience, firstly, with no context, and also as if it represents what is going on all over the country. We've read accounts from doctors, who certainly would have no less personal experience than you, who strongly disagree with your assessment of the situation.

And while I am fully aware of visitor restrictions, if the hospitals were full on the inside, I should not expect to see near empty parking lots on the outside. Because those restrictions do not consist of shutting off the entire hospital to visitors during the middle of the day. The restrictions are usually that no one person can stay for long, and everyone has to wear a mask. Why would those restrictions cause empty parking lots?

How do I know that places who might actually have a spike in patients are mostly due to COVID? We keep hearing from doctors that hospitals are fudging the numbers, so no offense, but why should I take the word of a nurse? I don't expect you to collect data, because I know it's not your job, and you wouldn't be given access to anything your hospital wouldn't want you to know, anyway. Again, I know nurses who don't report the same things you are saying. So I'm looking at this from the national perspective, listening to medical experts who don't have political skin in the game. Everything else is just conflicting anecdotes.

I also imagine hospitalization is up because PCP refuse to see or treat any potential covid patients

That in itself should tell you all you need to know.

That graph clearly shows that GA, NV, AZ, and MI elections were stolen.

We want the covids to go through the ED, then if the doctor thinks they need to stay bc of respiratory issues, we admit them obviously. Them not seeing their PCP shouldn’t have an affect on the number of admits as they go through an ER doctor to make that call on whether they get admitted. Now we are using the online visits with our PCPs and covid positive patients also. The PCP can tell the patient whether or not to go to the ER or prescribe home medications for minor covid symptoms. At least that’s how we handle it down here. Prolly different protocols like you are saying in different parts of the country.

You are absolutely correct it’s different all over the country, hence why I was asking what area you are in. I’m curious.

I know we arent fudging numbers here at my hospital mainly because we are losing our asses off financially with these covid admits. I don’t have the specific numbers to back that statement obviously, but I have family in the finance department here and that’s what they tell me, so take that as you will.

But the way we have been lied to by our “leaders”, I wouldn’t doubt it at other facilities fudging the numbers. Pretty pathetic no doubt.

I’m gonna check out of this thread, but good discussion no doubt and we didnt go ape shite on each other. At the end of the day, I think we can both agree that this covid bs needs to end.

Not that I fully believe what the OP posted, but you lying in an attempt to dismiss someone else is both pathetic and comical. They were referencing Covid vaccinations only. There is no reason to use false info to disagree with their opinion.

I'm in the Acadiana area.

I know you said you don't have the specific numbers, but do you know any specific reason why you'd be losing money off of having more patients? I've heard that doctors around the country have been enticed with financial incentives to write anyone off who dies WITH COVID, not from it, as a COVID death. So I'm just wondering why anyone stands to lose money off of it, even if they aren't taking bribes to make money.

Yes, the COVID BS indeed needs to end.

I got a feeling a lot of non vaccinated people on this board are going to regret this way of thinking in a few months. I find it usually takes a personal experience with covid to change one's opinion on the vaccine.

Bookmarked.
Kind of like cancer or being in a car accident?

Nope, still like my life the same way, un-afraid and wide open. If your are not, you are not living.

I had Covid and don’t see a need to be vaccinated.
