It happens to almost every politician that goes to Washington. The temptation is too great.

The first. Except that I wouldn’t call it a conspiracy. The corrupt system itself is a hammer against the principles of the most ardent and sincere leaders. They can stand and act on prior principles and be a 1 term congressman or try to thread the needle a bit (or outright acquiesce) and grow their power and influence. Almost all decide the latter path. It’s not a conspiracy. It’s the natural inclination of anyone who pursues any position of power and authority. Whether government or corporate private sector. One who seeks high office typically has a huge ego to begin with. They yearn for acceptance among what society considers the “elite class.” Once handed that power, most will do anything to keep it…even betraying the morals and principles of their prior self. It is human nature to begin with but grown exponentially once power and authority is attained.

I don't know what I am more taken aback by- Johnson's descent into Hades or that you can now post direct TwitterX links on TD (I've been gone awhile).

Pretty clear that the CIA/MIC is in complete control of DC. I believe Johnson is, or at least was, one of few people who could walk into that shitstained hellscape and keep his conscious.

Whatever they got on him is probably worse that the proverbial "dead girl or a live boy in bed..."

... the latter of which the dims pay double for these days.

I do think McCarthy was objectively better than Johnson. McCarthy at least had some edge to him. Johnson is a weak man who can be intimidated and controlled.

What’s more likely?- that there’s a vast conspiracy that swallows up even the most ardent and sincere leaders we elect, or that you don’t know what you’re talking about?

This is a freakin childish view and obviously wrong. All you have to do is look at the border and history to see that you're full of crap.

If you're an infant, incapable of reason, then delegate your thinking to some group of elitist snobs who have as much regard for your life as they do a roach.

Who will replace him and get the majority votes? I was happy someone was selected due to the mockery of the Republican party for not sticking together and selecting a speaker. If they kick him out the Democrats will take control and be the majority with some of the Republicans quiting.

The Republican Party has one seat majority….how do you expect anything to get done?

The issue is that he is giving the democrats what they want instead of the republican voters. If he can't accomplish what we sent him there for, then I'm fine with gridlock. Giving in to the uniparty is not an option.

What do you base this on? Because he cut a deal today?

No.

I base it on his own words out of his filthy whore mouth that I listened to with my own ears.

Again, some of you have a comprehension problem.

I fully expected him to cut a deal because of the numbers. That’s not the issue.

The issue is I thought he was cutting a deal because of the numbers but in reality he cut a deal because he believes in the shite in that deal.

He did not say “I don’t like it but we have to do this because of the numerical realities right now. It’s the best we can do. I don’t expect to ever do such bad legislation again. I promise, give me a larger majority and you’ll never see something like this again.”

No.

He flat out said he had full and complete faith and trust in the CIA, NSA, and FBI. He said we need to keep sending limitless billions to Ukraine and Israel to fund proxy wars for as long as it takes (who knows what it is). And he said FISA is good and necessary. And he said nothing about the border.

He will do nothing no matter what numerical majority you give him. This deal, this POS legislation, IS WHO HE IS.

Mike Johnson is a fraud, a liar, and a whore.

Get rid of him.

Given the number of Republican RINOs in the House, if we toss Johnson then Jeffries takes his place.

That’s fine. It won’t matter.

That will mean the end of all the Republican-run Committees investigating Joe, Hunter, election bs, et al, and back to focusing on 'gun control', massive spending Omnibus Bills, 'insurrectionists' and electoral 'fairness' (I.e., illegals voting).

Those Republican-run committees won’t do shite.
