These people belong in asylums, not a cockpit or anything remotely important

I used to sit in on Delta pilot application reviews. Just 8 years ago any discussion of race, sex, religion, gender identity, etc in vetting pilot applications would have had YOU disciplined. Now they are making decisions BASED on demographics? Unbelievable (and likely illegal).

It was (and still should be) all about experience and qualifications. Navy and Air Force pilots to the front of the line and then discuss the non-military applicants. Biggest debate was whether Air Force or Navy pilots were better (it's Navy by the way).

We’re more likely to get ones who look like Kelly McGillis does right now.

A lawsuit needs to be brought through the court system until it gets to the supreme court to knock down all of this hiring due to DEI before serious consequences are seen.

Friend of mine is a former Navy flyer who tried to set up a transition to non-military flight as a possibility for the long term.

His instructor basically kicked him out of the plane upon landing because he did a carrier landing in the little Cessna they were using on a normal runway.

I think it was American Airlines that boasted their pilots were 19% female or minorities. Their goal is 50%.

My last landing at Newark was a deck landing of a 757. fricking roof panels dropped in the isles.
