Florida Senate votes to permanently oust Broward Sheriff Scott Israel

So finally some justice for an incompetent politician. Being incompetent at your job should be grounds for losing that job.
Appears two dems voted with the Reps. Senate makeup is 23-R and 17-D.

The four Broward County senators on that committee voted to reinstate the sheriff, prompting the families of many Parkland victims to crowd the offices of state senators pleading for them to permanently oust the sheriff when the vote came to the floor.

I'm really curious what the other citizens of the county think about all of this. For all 5 of their senators to vote to keep him in office... either the vast majority of the county supports the sheriff, or, these 5 senators just lost any shot they have at re-election.
I sure hope this doesn't come back to bite the Republicans in the arse. If Florida ever gets a Dem governor and a Dem senate, just wait for the suspensions of a whole bunch of GOP local officials.

Broward County is almost as solid a blue area as San Francisco.
