You do realize that Desantis is only able to do what he is doing because of Trump right? First Trump showed Repubs how to stand up against the left, and if it weren't for Trumps support he wouldn't have won the gvnrs race.
No Trump supporter isn't a Desantis supporter, like the reverse. People who want Trump in '24 want to play the longer game. Giving Trump 4yrs without worrying about reelection to clean house for Desantis to come in in '28.
Trump needs to pick a VP that doesn't want to run for Prez in '28, and his only job is to help with the cleaning the swamp plan.
Desantis is in his early 40's, so there is time for him to get FL sealed up, hopefully get some other gvnrs some iron balls, and then finally to make sure FL is left in good hands to keep doing what he has done.
Really isn't that hard to get why there are Trump '24 supporters.

I don’t see why he wouldn’t, the FL legislature being completely friendly to RD and all. Little different story when you get to DC and even your own party is cutting your throat for purposes of their own personal gain somewhere down the road. Not to mention Democrats and MSM who have carte blanche to do and say whatever they please, no questions asked, no consequences to be had.

But what he won't do is divide conservatives. If Trump and Desantis both run for President, Trump will mercilessly rip him to pieces and divide everyone except those who want them both to lose.
The best thing Donald Trump can do for this country and Conservatism is support the very best would be presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan.
