The GOP has not flipped a single special election seat since 2024. The Democrats have flipped at least 9 state legislative seats in special elections in 2025-2026.

If Thune doesn't pass the SAVE Act the Democrats are likely to pick up over 20 House seats and at least 4 US Senate seats according to Cook Report

This is probably true.

It won't be because of massive Democrat turnout. Probably some more D's, but the races across the country will be lost because of despondent Republican voters. Other than a few executive orders, not much excitement can be placed with the R's right now. Gas prices soaring, overall economy is stagnant, Dow Jones has lost all of its gains and more from the start of the year, can't get Voter ID passed, ICE has been painted successfully by the media as some type of SS.
