Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody sued U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Wednesday, arguing that the Department of Justice is blocking the state from fully investigating the second assassination attempt of former President Trump in Palm Beach.

According to the complaint, FBI and DOJ officials acted “almost immediately” to try halting the state’s investigation.

“In conversations with federal officials and in subsequent correspondence, these officials have stated that Florida may not conduct its own investigation, may not interview witnesses, and may only cooperate with the federal government’s investigation,” read the lawsuit.

quote:

Federal authorities indicted suspect Ryan Routh on five counts for allegedly pointing a gun through the bushes at Trump’s golf course in Palm Beach in an apparently assassination attempt.

Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, issued an executive order directing state agencies to make sure the correct state charges are filed against Routh.

Another thing that got swallowed up in the everyday circus of Media information.
I remember, we discussed this here quite a bit.
What would become of the Florida investigation into Routh. We have a final answer. DOJ told Florida to sit down and shut up, raise your hand when you have a question...... maybe we'll answer.
It's so clear, the Marxist in power consider themselves to be the supreme power in America.
Not at all how our founding fathers designed it to be.
Really, we the people are to blame. We vote the people into congress that have allowed this to occur.

I'm shocked a man of such high regard and integrity would do such a thing.

I wonder if Garland is aware the Sham J6 Committee is refusing to give House republicans the videotaped closed door testimonies of dozens of J6 witnesses, there are reports many of those videotapes and other evidence has been systematically destroyed by the Sham J6 Committee. We're just fortunate to have people like Garland in control of the DOJ and someone like Wray running the FBI to check into these troubling incidents for the American people .

I know it gets said on here a lot but its true. We really dodged a bullet with Garland and the Supreme Court.

Just a few more months and him and Mayorkas and the likes of them are gone.

I think the biggest mistake made was releasing that guy to the feds

I would've held him and interrogated him and said that the federal government would get them after the state of Florida was done given that he was in Florida committing a crime against the Florida citizen

I would've refused federal orders and argued that the state has a stronger interest in the crime committed

during the time it would've taken to get some court to hear the argument made by the feds they would've gotten a confession out of that guy and probably a lot of other information about how he got there and who's been funding him

Yup. I remember a few of us predicting that the Feds would just stall and stonewall like they have done with the Butler "investigation."

If Harris becomes president, we will never know all the facts of either assassination attempt.

Yup. As I stated then, once in federal custody, I didn't think Florida would even get to question Roush until after he had finished his federal sentence (assuming he survives that).

I remember being told by someone knowledgeable and undoubtedly sincere that the Feds would certainly let Florida try to interview Roush.

BOLD prediction: we will never know how Roush afforded his global exploits and/or how he knew where Trump would be on the day of the attempt.

UPDATE: the person who provided all the wisdom (truly, not being sarcastic) was Leeeroy Jenkins. Is he still around or did he exit recently?

Thanks for the information, but I will wait for the NYT and Washington Post's reporting on this topic.

Just kidding. As if they could be bothered to report on either Trump assassination attempt!

An interesting question is whether or not Pennsylvania has even opened a murder investigation involving who killed Corey Comporatore at Trump's Butler Rally.

Think we will ever see a ballistics report regarding the bullet that killed Corey and the alleged murder weapon recovered from the roof?

It's pathetic and disrespectful how this is being ignored...at least in the media. I would be thrilled to be wrong about this. I was initially hopeful about Clay Higgins's apparent initial zeal about answering all the questions through their Congressional committee. We will see, but it doesn't look promising so far.

I pray they are prosecuted for their organized criminality. Examples must be made to stop this kind of nonsense.
