Flight attendant tries to remove family from plane when 2 year old doesn't wear mask

While eating. She had been wearing the mask prior to that, according to other passengers chiming in.
Twitter vid
A family with a 2 year old child argued back to a flight attendant who tried to have them removed from the plane before takeoff when their child was eating and did not have their mask on.
From the video, it looks like the other passengers were very supportive of the family (except one Karen chiming in at one point; you'll hear it). The father kept his cool and exercised his option to not exit the plane.
The flight attendant then proceeded to call the cops and everyone was deplaned. In a follow up vid, you can see everyone, including the family, is reboarding the plane. The only person not reboarding was a flight attended, which the father said "he's not back on the plane". Which is odd, because it was a female that confronted him, so I'm guessing she was just the messenger.
Strange times we live in. But I'm glad the family wasn't removed. Spirit Airlines, if anyone's curious.

This mask idiocy has exposed so much mental illness.

Saw something similar happened to a couple with their 2 year old on a United flight. I thought if they were two or younger they didn’t need to wear a mask?

Was it Dr Jill pulling another one of her April Fool’s jokes?

Southwest made Cody Garbrant (Former UFC Bantamweight Champ) get off the plane for the same reason. His 2 year wouldn't wear his mask.
He filmed the cockpit crew not wearing mask.

I’ll never understand why some people get so worked up about a mask. Is it some kind of personal control issue?

Spirit Airlines is cool because they will let you fly the plane.

They have one of the best pilot contracts in the entire industry, and they earn every penny of it. Normally, it's the passengers causing the problem. They must feel so betrayed when it's the crew fricking things up and not LaFahnduh.

I think the actual rule is 5 years and younger.

Jewish family and a black flight attendant, so we'll never hear a word about anti-semitism or racism

I’m terrified.
I’m flying internationally and I have an 18month old with me who doesn’t know what a mask is.

Too late. Twitchy was implying anti-Jewish.

The comments are actually encouraging for a change,
Hardly any of the"My mask protects you, your mask protects me" BS

During the winter storm I had to drive the wife to work with the kids because snow was to bad. Not wanting to make the 1.5 hr treck home and then back again I decided to stay in Memphis and take the kids for a day out.
We pull up to Chuck E Cheese (only place open) and we are the only ones there. LA-A tried to tell me my 2 yr old had to wear a mask. I told her she was.a dumbass because no 2 yr old is going to keep a mask on while running around. Took my business elsewhere.

I was nervous when I flew with my 3 year old because it is so hard at that age or younger to keep a mask on for long periods of time. I put her by the window and tried my best to keep her wearing it but as with any 3 year old there was plenty of time during that flight where she was pulling it off and refusing to put it back on. I would just give her food and water while it was off and try to work it back on. Luckily the staff on our flight was very understanding. We would have been in trouble if any Karen's were on board. I think expecting kids under 5 to wear them consistently is not a goal that can easily be accomplished
