Or why the seasons are flipped in the Southern Hemisphere.

There isn’t really any science behind this. It’s less of a belief in a flat earth and lore of a disbelief in a round earth and all science surrounding it.

Sadly, it's exactly what they believe.

If that's what they believe, what makes the seasons? What accounts for the days getting shorter and longer? Because, from what I can tell, that doesn't account for that.

it also doesn't account for eclipses or how half the planet is in darkness at any given time

Someone needs a class in physics and another in thermodynamics.

The thing I find the most interesting is that their diorama model/theory is much more elaborate and hard to pull off than just accepting that the globe is spherical.

What gets me is that we can see other planets and moons in our solar system. Why are they all spheres, and we get a pancake?

Maybe it's why we have life and they don't.

They have a bunch of competing "theories" that explain away trivial concerns like yours...

I just looked. Can't see a single one from my window.

ETA: Also, please explain how the one moon we CAN see with the naked eye is ALWAYS the same "side". Does it not seem odd that the only one every person can see ALWAYS looks the same, regardless of the lighting effects?

Flat-earth doesn't really have much to do with his curious points...

Our moon certainly has...oddities

And to the layperson, it's difficult to make PERSONAL observations about the planets...
Although under extensive observation, one can see Venus go through phases...knowing that, the razor would infer it's spherical

I never said you were one of the usual suspects. It merely underscored the point that outside of the QT, it's the boo-birds and/or those not fully abreast of the details who tend to inject Q into otherwise non-Q topics.
Well, Q is something of a running joke. I am sure that arseinclarse is making a mint on Q merchandise somewhere.

Just making a point about how you can take an established fact and use it to make a specious point.

We do, in fact, only ever see one side of the moon. Until Apollo 8, no man had ever seen the other side directly ("in real life").

Doesn't make it flat.
