You're not wrong.

It really is a chance to show they are serious about tackling runaway spending and incompetence on budgeting America properly.

Negative, but passing a bill that truly cuts spending would never pass the Senate so it’s a stupid argument

What optics, he voiced his opinion on a BS CR bill that was filled with more pork than the Jimmy Dean Factory.

Yes because the “debt ceiling” has really been effective at stopping spending lol it must be the tallest ceiling ever built to house trillions in debt already accrued

It's a limit until they raise it, at that point they at least have to do something in order to spend more money. Suspending it entirely is to remove even that barrier. That's like giving a meth head the key to the medicine cabinet.

What needs to happen is a balanced budget amendment, but no one wants to talk about that as long as their favorite party and/or politician is advocating for limitless spending restraints.

He's not President nor in charge yet.

And then supported suspending the debt ceiling for two years.

Appreciate the concern post.

I’m thinking when he takes the oath in January and actually becomes president, things will still turn out favorably over the next four years.

None of your suggestions will ever happen and the debt ceiling hasn’t stopped anything

It's stopped more than completely suspending it. Giving up, however, never works. Feel free to keep giving up though.

We don't have a replacement yet, but getting that monstrous POS bill killed is a massive win any way you look at it, and Trump!'s not even in office yet.

Giving up lol Chuck Schumer controls the Senate and Biden is President not to mention there are dozens of useless Republicans in the House, being pragmatic isn’t giving up. It’s working with what you have.

Dont disagree with the sentiment but he has very limited real power. Mudding it up really doesn’t hurt him as this just continues the failures of the current admin.

You think allowing a massive pork spending bill to characterize his inauguration is a good idea? You are a moron.
