Anybody making changes in their 401K positions?
I'm thinking less stocks, more bonds.
Or maybe convert to all cash and bury it in the wife's vegetable garden!
Any thoughts?

Absolutely. I work for a company that provides H2 to refineries. Oil and gas will take a hit. I'll move it from company stock to some lower risk option.

One of our investment options in our 401(k) is essentially a CD that earns about 1 to 2% a year. About a week out from the election, I am going to put everything into that account investment. Then, I’ll just wait and see what happens with the election.

I’ve been rebalancing to more cash....I’ll probably take my mix down to 30-40% equities and the rest into cash and possibly some short term bonds.

Might as well load up on gold and silver too.

Fed will continue to be in a buying mood so your 401K will be puffed up

Soon as the market got back to 28,000 I moved everything to the money market until the election is over.

Bail from Wall Street as soon as you know as Biden is in.....wait for the bottom and reinvest and make a fortune.
Most good financial advisors can tell you when the bottom is near....good luck, I am dumping if he wins.

I hear corps that supply infrastructure material (concrete, asphalt, etc.) will be good regardless of the outcome. Both candidates have called for vast improvements.

Precious metals.... brass, lead, and copper.

I've considered this, but essentially you'd only be ending up with something that has decreased in value. And could be much worse if it truly tanks because the Chinese sell their USD reserves or the USD is replaced by the Yuan or basket of currencies. Can you explain why shorting would still be a prudent move?

A Biden admin is going to spend and print like never before. I expect gold and bitcoin (and probably silver) to perform exceptionally well

I’m thinking about dumping some healthcare insurance stocks.

No - Harris already won. The ballots are already in and so is Joe's resignation letter.

Haliburton, Raytheon, McDonnell Douglas, Goldman Sachs, Chase, Citigroup.
(I won't buy those as a matter of principle but Creepy Joe is a great friend of Wall Street and the MIC.)

I've already made some cash conversions to 9mm, .3006 and 30-30.
