He and his father, as I'm sure you know, were subject to a consent decree from the US government around racial issues in housing.
I personally believe he isn't actually prejudiced at all. I think he is just deeply uninterested (see his remark about Frederick Douglass.)
That is to say, I think he has close to zero or zero negative thoughts or hatred as pertaining to any specific individual he comes across just because they're black (or whatever.)

It's your responsibility to be able to teach and lead your kids. And, explaining to them that what they hear from their mother isn't gospel should be easy.

Trump cares about making money, people making money and especially people Who make money. He doesn’t give shite what color anyone is as long as they put effort into making money. Most of his “questionable” comments relate to social issues that he has no interest in because they don’t involve making money. He is sort of aloof or disinterested (as a previous poster stated). Should he be—don’t know. What I do know is that prior to COVID that more people in this country across the board were employed than the last 40 years and more were climbing out of poverty than the last 40 years. I think that’s a great thing for this country and will help race relations more than any other action a SJW can imagine.

I know I’ll catch hell for this, but he retweeted an image that said 81% of white murder victims were killed by blacks. The actual number is less than a third of that. He also deflated the number of blacks killed by whites dramatically.
However you feel about Trump those were lies that hurt black people. Not saying that makes him racist, but it was shitty as hell.
That’s fair. But to me, that’s clearly more about Trump tooting his own horn like he loves to do, talking about how great he is. That part of his personality is plenty of reason to be put-off. And black people are justified in however that made them feel. But it’s almost 100% he was both poorly informed and wanting to pump himself up rather than anything approaching being racist.

I appreciate the thoughtful response but I’m not seeing how lying about black crime is a Trump self aggrandizing thing.
This isn’t making up a crowd size or something unimportant that the media latches onto and acts like is a big deal. This is ramping up the crime stats (by fourfold) for a 12% of Americans.
