Additionally Crowder is being inconsistent?

“I’m willing to walk away from money to continue saying what I believe!”

“Awesome. We support that and would like to essentially put that in the contract”

“Big tech cronies!!!!”

Eric July has the best take, as usual

Basically it's "I get Crowder trying to protect himself, kudos. But DW is a business, that has to protect themselves and make a profit. That is literally why contracts exist, ffs."

He gives Boering credit for the extremely refreshing level of transparency.

My personal opinion is Crowder is being a douche by taking what is essentially a contract negotiation public. . .and Boering flatlined him with the contract read.

Edit: Candace was on with Tim Pool and said that recorded phone call that Crowder released snippets of was from a week ago when Crowder called Jeremy to talk to see how Christmas was with the family and it got back on that topic. Sounds like Crowder just burned that bridge being they were friends and he called to act like he cared about how the family was doing so he can plot and record the conversation in her words.

Anthony Cumia and Gavin McInnes said similarly on their show.

Ant said he understands the urge to run on the air and say "WTF" after reading the terms, but they both were like, he can't insist on keeping his content in front of a pay wall AND insist DW stick by the full amount of the contract if he gets demonetized or banned. They need to make money from somewhere.

Mug Club, merchandise, ad reads... He's bringing a big audience of paying fans with him that does not rely on YouTube monetization.

How much you think ad reads are worth on a channel that had 500K watching him on election night?

You mean when they sued the national government over vaccine mandates? Yeah, there may be no greater enemy of conservatism.

Not only that, one of Pool’s studio guys looked up the stop big con website Crowder linked and saw it was registered December 12th, WEEKS before the recorded phone call.

Crowder has had this idea chambered for a long time and it’s looking more like that phone call was him needing more drama to stir up dissent and engagement on the eve of striking out on his own.

So Crowder says something not libelous or injurious to his employer but goes against the policy of a third party and they ban him. The contract says that the third party gets to decide his pay if they don't like what he says??? This is ESG at work. Forcing anyone involved in the process to acquiesce to global ESG demands for the opportunity to have a job. Crowder: Ivermectin works and should be studied for this... Third Party(with no contractual ties to Crowder): Banned Crowder's Employer: We're cutting your pay because someone else gets to decide your speech for all of us.

I started typing but then figured someone had already stated this Horrible idea contractually.

I'd be interested to know what Crowder employees think of HIS contract with them. But he signs them to NDAs.

Bet Not Gay Jared has so.e stories to tell, especially seeing as how he has been liking Candace Owens' posts on the subject.

Im sure all of their contracts require them to do and say things which will result in deplatforming from big tech platforms.

You know, because its not about business its about “the movement”

It's interesting to see the opinions of the left-leaning independent media guys. Greenwald didn't really take sides, he is just impressed both by Daily Wire's size/influence that they can pay that kind of coin and Crowder's loyal following. Michael Tracey is laughing at Crowder.

The deal could've ultimately made Crowder upwards of $100 million over 4-5 years, but he's trying to rally his fan base against the "slavery" tactics of Daily Wire because they proposed controlling his show-related social media accounts during those years. Cry me a big, fat river

Just saw that Crowder also secretly recorded Daily Wire's CEO on a phone call, and is trying to make a big thing out of him jokingly using the phrase "wage slave." I'm not the biggest Daily Wire fan but Crowder comes across as an absolute basket case weirdo here

Wait a second, Steven Crowder was on the verge of tears and ranting about "corporate enslavement" because Daily Wire offered him a minimum of $50 million to crack jokes for an hour and a half a day on YouTube.......?

Technically only 192 days, which they expected to get negotiated down to around 170.

Does anyone else see the douchebaggery from Crowder, in that this was an initial contract OFFER.

Instead of negotiations, talks, or just rejecting and looking elsewhere. . .like a professional. . .Naw, he goes to Youtube to cry like a dimestore Terell Owens.

To think I used to like this guy. . .turns out he is a complete bitch.

You want to own your shite. . .you have aaaaaaalll this revenue and mugclub pull? Why do you need Blaze and DW? Man up or stfu. Stop trying to use social media to shame DW into giving you a better deal, negotiate like a man.

Exactly

This may be his last major content because he's having to manufacture drama and burning bridges. This is the behavior of a desperate person

I think he is just really immature/naive and has no idea how business works. Taking it public is the really douchebag part. I wouldn't want to try to do business with the guy after seeing this.

I think he knows how it works.

Hes counting on generating outrage to galvanize his viewers to support him.

Its a tactic we often blame the liberals of, and dont do enough to call out when its someone on the right.

I’m a long time watcher of Crowder, but all this is bull

I've always liked Crowder but frankly, this whole thing is dumb. It's almost like he picked the fight on purposes for some strange reason.

Shapiro is a warhawk, not conservative in the least. Crowder is a nationalist and loves government power when he agrees with the cause. Neither side are really conservative.
