We used to not have White-winged doves in SOWELA. Now they run out the native Mourning doves from the urban areas.
We used to not have Black Bellied Whistling ducks around here. This year there will be a hunting season just for them.
Nature does as nature does.
The spotted Owl will survive. Do we need to spend 1.5 Billion on killing competitive species? The Mourning dove still thrives even though a more aggressive species has taken over some of its territory.

This is a bit of a bastardization of "invasive species". Barred Owls are naturally expanding their range on their native continent. People may not like it, but it is at a natural progression. It is not the only species expanding its range......by a longshot.
Let's roll this money into efforts to kill the shitty European Starling and House Sparrow......actual invasive species wiping out all species of native cavity nesting songbirds.
