That's easy for you to say when it's not your business that's being put at risk by these tariffs.

I think he's saying the tariffs would be a de facto consumption tax if manufacturers/retailers pass the costs on to the consumer.

Really? This morning I had to explain to a property management company why the same life safety upgrade I helped them budget for this fiscal year back in 2022 costs $275k more than previously projected.

If a judge makes a sweeping ruling like this and is later overturned on appeal they should face some kind of punishment. Not hanging or anything but pretty severe.
Maybe tarring and feathering

Do you think we dont spend enough? The federal govt needs to have a balanced budget and until then, we need drastic cuts, not the status quo

It worked well as our nation developed, we should bring that type of accountability back.
Back then, folks understood they needed to be prepared to stand behind their words.
Today, cowards hide behind their computers and a weak administration of fairness and justice.
Im certain, if people were held to account, folks behavior would change very quickly.

Trump can order Coast Guard to stop every inbound ship for deep inspections and hold up shipments for weeks until somebody cries Uncle.
No judge could do a damn thing about that, that is pure Commander-in-Chief power.
I guarantee you, the dems can find or buy a judge to stop this also. The really aggravating thing is 2 out of the 3 judges were appointed by Republicans.
And, as long as that "Convervative" woman is on the Supreme Court, she will do everything to block Trump - unless it is something about abortion.

There is no “if”. It’s happening. Our suppliers have mostly targeted June 1st as the date of price increases. Some already have increased costs and others are still a couple weeks away. My clients are schools, manufacturing, behavioral health, government, agricultural, medical… down to things like yoga studios and a small grocery chain.

If Trump wants tariffs, why doesn't he go about it the right way and pass a law in Congress? Why is he trying to run the global economy by executive fiat?

So you think a trade deficit is a justified national emergency?

Reported that trade tariffs secured 22 billion in April
Hey, I helped that number by paying 0.00182% of that amount

An economic emergency is the standard. Clearly the appellate court thinks the admin has a strong argument for that.

These evil people will eff you and eff our country simply because of TDS. I don’t believe in Eastern religions, but if karma is real, I hope it crashes on all their heads with the weight of a neutron star (or a Peavey T-40 bass for any laymen out there).

They simply issued a stay to allow for arguments over the next two weeks.
Given the nation wide impact that seems pretty standard.

Those judges can’t do jackshit. It will get overturned

the judges just blew up all negotiating capability
They blew up Trumps "emergency" scheme.
Want better trade deals with trading partners? there is a lawful way to do that.
