My personal view is
1. Trump is personally very sympathetic specifically to Venezuelans.
2. Trump just bought Venezuelan. He does not want to break what he bought by overwhelming it with returnees.
3. He will likely not push back on this too vigorously- just formally. And he will focus on other countries and felons.

Isn't it amazing how a president can start programs like this, but another president doesn't have the authority to cancel it.

Forgive my ignorance but it looks like the executive branch enacted it but now they can't take it away? Is that what it means?

But remember, ladies and germs, there's no such thing as lawfare. The self-professed most brilliant man since Leonardo da Vinci has lectured us about this repeatedly.

You're not describing this correctly.
The successive President does have the authority to reverse policy, but they must follow the APA and/or the specific statute in doing so. They don't get to just wave a want to reverse properly implemented administrative policy from a prior admin if either the APA or statute requires more.
Now EOs are different.

she ended temporary protected status (TPS) for Venezuelans under the Biden-era Venezuela TPS designations,
So the Biden admins had the authority to give them TPS but Trump admin doesn’t have authority to remove it? What kind of clown world shite is this

Doing a very fast skim of the ruling, it seems to be more down to TPS status being statutorily created for a period of time (I think it's 18 months). Nothing prevents the admin from non-renewing their status once the applicable time period ends, but there is nothing in the statute giving an admin the authority to revoke the status once granted.

Pretty much. Not at this time.

So it’s ok for Biden to start this shite but Trump can’t stop it?
Elections have consequences. Trump was voted in to, among other things, actually enforce the immigration laws that the Dems just ignored. And then these judges can stop him from doing that?
This shite has to end one way or another.

It is. It shows that the rule of the law can be upheld and the current administration will be taken to task when they break it.

So, this just creates a certainty of the SCOTUS overruling yet another 9CCA decision. I'm not butthurt. It'll work out, and their decision will simply be ignored until SCOTUS rules.

I agree with the first part. I am pro legal deportation of undocumented immigrants. I am opposed to illegal deportation.
If the Supreme Court overturns it, then bon voyage.

No, it was illegal that Biden granted status. Noem is right.

Or does it show the bias of radical left judges?
