Is the Trump appointed FCC guy trying to destroy Net Neutrality?

That’s the entire reason we have 24 pages of people blindly defending something they would have absolutely demolished obama over in a stickied thread.

Nope. I'd have cheered Obama on if got rid of net neutrality instead of instituting it.

Shitty regulation is shitty no matter who sits in the seat.

Yeah.

He's come at me with that Nashville silliness before.

I'm like, wait, wut? Google didn't want to pay what Comcast asked?..........because it was too expensive? Oh, and Comcast wanted extra precautions with their gear too if I recall.

All of this was deemed to prohibitive.

I'm like, what? Did Google CEOs also demand blow jobs from Comcast CEOs? Cause, I mean, they really should have thrown those in too!

I mean..........you almost can't make that shite up.

To think that you idiots may be engineers, parents, and certainly voters.

It’s either going with companies like Comcast/AT&T who I know for certain will frick me and the entire population or going with the government which is so fricking incompetent that I’m pretty sure the internet will remain the same roughly unregulated.

You haven’t had a coherent thought since Trump called Mexicans rapists.

Net neutrality does put more of a burden on ISPs by forcing them to equally deliver content.

Sumply untrue.
I need to correct myself. I inserted a “does not put” that didn’t exist there. Sorry cahoots. My mistake.

Yeah, they tried the “you’re only against it because of Obama”

I will fully admit my position on this changed. Was for it at one time. Sounds like a great idea. Who could be against “neutrality”? Then I started digging deeper. Now... not a proponent.

Maybe you could try providing a convincing link that there are lots of ISPs out there.
I did that in the same thread Halfwit started on the O-T Board.

A poster in that thread claimed there was only one option for high speed internet access where he lived in southwest Oklahoma and that's why he's pissing his pants in fear.

I didn't know his city so I picked a random city in southwest Oklahoma which was Lawton, Oklahoma, not exactly a mega-metropolis.

I provided a link to him which listed 14 ISP's in Lawton with only one of them having a download speed less than 5 mbps. His comeback? "I don't live in Lawton."

It appeared that most of those 14 ISPs served the entire southwest Oklahoma market.

There are numerous ISPs in every city of any size and even in rural areas. They may not be the "traditional" carriers like Comcast or Cox but they are there.

I use Cox most of the time but when Cox goes down I switch over to AT&T data access using my iPad or my iPhone. That's TWO ISP's I use now in my home. How many fricking ISPs do I need?? (I'm starting to think that "ISP" is not really the best term to describe access to the internet. It should just be "internet access.")

I have at least 9 ISP's available to me where I live in Baton Rouge.

I said "I give up" because arguing something that is so common sense with some of you Drama Queens is a waste of time.

1 is the only viable option because the telecoms own the FCC.

But #2 is still better than #3. That's why the telecoms are fighting for #3. You guys still won't concede that point because you're too idealistic and not realistic

How anyone could be against Net Neutrality is beyond me. Comcast is the most hated company on the planet, so it’s a fair bet that whatever they think is good has to be bad. Yet here we are.

You clearly have no common sense if you think that there are 9 different ISPs available to BR residents that offer broadband comparable to AT&T and Cox.

If they existed, I would certainly switch. They do not.

Name a third ISP I can get on Highland Rd.
