FBI Email: James Comey Briefing Was ‘Trigger’ for CNN to Break Dossier Story

Prior to CNN’s report leaking the briefings, which was picked up by news agencies worldwide, the contents of the dossier had been circulating among news media outlets, but the sensational claims were largely considered too risky to publish.

This is two years old. The first news articles about the dossier were about how Trump was briefed on its existence.

You’re seeing the word triggered and getting triggered
The original articles about the dossier were about the FBI briefing Trump. Hell, people on CNN and in the Times explicitly said they ran the story because they thought that the briefing itself was newsworthy. You are almost two years behind.

The details were not printable because everyone knew they were false. Under guise of briefing him before it got out to the public, they briefed DJT. The briefing actually became the trigger for the release to the public.
It's a classic set-up from the word go. Those involved need to held accountable.
Similarly, Rossenstein pens a memo recommending the firing of Comey. Then uses the firing of Comey to attack DJT. They are all scum, no question about it.
