I know upgrayyed and Hank are real, not sure about some of these others.

I think I am finally on board the Jjdoc is a paid shill train.

Not being that guy, but they don't take blood samples on every arrest. Why stop at DNA? Take blood, fecal, footprints, inseam...

You don’t need any of that for a DNA profile. It is done by rubbing the tip of a long q-tip (aka Buccal swab) on the inner cheek for about two seconds.

Coming to a blue state near YOU:

Arizona may be about to mandate giving your DNA to the state for certain kinds of employment ... to start....

LINK

The article hints that other states are heading this way as well.

Couple things, you link a British rag that posted an article yesterday. This bill was passed 18 months ago. August 2017. That should be red flag #1.

What does the date of passage have to do with anything? Nothing. The fact is it will start being implemented this year.

Another Jjdoc thread based on a fake article from a questionable source.

The bill passed, Trump signed it. Starts this year. Therefore NOT fake.

Also, if you bother to Google

I don't google.

you will find that the claims made by the British tabloid in your OP (every person arrested will be DNA swabbed, every baby born will be DNA swabbed) are found nowhere else.

Because they are fiction?

No... maybe you need to research more. Had you read it and comprehended it, that would be the SCOTUS.

quote:

Supreme Court allows police to obtain DNA samples without warrant

That was 2015. But you don't read and research. You look to make personal attacks.

quote:

Civil libertarians praised Scalia’s scathing dissent, which said the majority opinion should not be taken seriously.

“Thanks to Justices Scalia, [Ruth Bader] Ginsburg, [Sonia] Sotomayor, and [Elena] Kagan for dissenting from the Court’s opinion and upholding the Fourth Amendment and our Constitution,” Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) wrote on Facebook.

The American Civil Liberties Union called Scalia’s dissent “convincing,” and argued that the majority ruling would erode important constitutional protections.

Next, you egregiously stated that the article claims that part of the collections is hospitals and ancestry.

It does NOT. Learn to read and comprehend. It states that these places collect DNA that the GOV CAN get. Once they get it, it is in the FBI data base.

quote:

If you can find something that proves me wrong and supports your OP please link it here.

You DNA sent to Ancestry and 23 and Me can be used by police

DUMB arse!

I think this is absolute horseshite, and should be deemed unconstitutional. However, is there any way that you could refuse a DNA test if they tried to give you one? Or invoked the fifth?

Nope... The SCOTUS ruled they don't need a warrant either.

I know how the DNA swabbing works. I may have not made my point intelligent enough to understand. Just because you get arrested, they should not be allowed to collect any type of evidence other than what is readily available (image and prints). Securing any personal fluids or secretions or molecular combinations is a HIPPA issue, IMHO.

I guess the real issue I've got is that we're all looking for the button to push to solve every problem, and this doesn't do it.

And Dumb arse #2.

Is the SCOTUS a tinfoil hat brigade?

Is the actual law a tinfoil hat brigade?

Is the fact they the police can obtain your DNA from hospitals, ancestry true part of a tinfoil hat brigade?

You are not capable of comprehension....
