You’re about to be downvoted to hell but you’re absolutely right. The majority of this board didn’t give a frick about police violating rights until they became effected by it.

The militarization of police is a conversation that should have started decades ago. Love to hear the excuse how military vehicles are needed among other surplus military hardware while SWAT teams seem to have difficulty raiding the right house or in this case a simple business.

Like, uh, a county sheriff?
No shite.
Trying to decide if he's a troll or just stupid.

Not entirely true. They are complicit.
“Take their orders”
It is their choice whether to execute an unconstitutional edict.

They swear an oath to uphold the Constitution. They don’t have to obey orders...they can and should quit when ordered to infringe rights.

And yes, I'd plow that bar owner on the pool table.

Leo's are the problem. They need to look long and hard at their oaths they took to fixed their blantent disregard and disrespect to the constitution.
I'll back the blue when the blue backs the constitution.

Under what authority did Buford T. Justice raid this lady's establishment if "all businesses are essential" in Texas?

Check her Facebook. That is a hard 47 years...

Then they need to go re-read the oath they took when they were commissioned as peace officers. Nothing in that oath mentions anything about taking orders from elected officials, but there is something in there about the Constitution.
quote:
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, I, , do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I will faithfully execute the duties of the office of of the State of Texas, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and of this State, so help me God.
