I have an old friend who flat out won't accept a Black physician, for just this reason. DEI taints and throws doubt on those who achieve exceptional goals minus lowered standards. Not to mention the consequences of dysfunctional and dangerous scenarios. Think Airline Pilots; albeit the SJWs are smart enough to pair a 'show' pilot with are real expert to take the helm when lives are on the line.

I disagree, I suspect a study (as if anybody is brave enough to conduct one) would bear that out, and I think it's true for a very simple reason.

US blacks have been raised in the grievance culture, convinced that whites just get a free ride through life, told every day that The Man has been keeping them down and is still keeping them down every day. When they get a chance to be The Man, they figure it's time to get theirs, and they do because they feel like they deserve it. It's justified.

It's got nothing to do with their skin color and everything to do with what they've been told their entire life.

The author is speaking facts. Identity politics make everyone look ridiculous, and create kind of an emperor has no clothes moment where everyone can see the obvious but no one feels empowered enough to say anything because of the potential consequences.

Consider the recent debacle with Dr. Gay at Harvard - clearly busted for plagiarism, a shitty academic record despite strong credentials, lying, and generally being an arrogant fricking jerk, she tripled down like Fani and pled black sexism, like it's a get out of jail free card or something.

I feel sorry for hard working people of color who get lumped in with the mental midgets like Fani Willis. There are a lot of them who have made it on their merits alone, and they have to be associated with absolute idiots just because of their skin color. Anytime one of these liberal affirmative action hires fail, they immediately want to use their race as an excuse. What’s worse, is that people like Thomas and Sowell get ridiculed and ostracized by the left for not being a part of their cult.

The author is obviously correct here. This is how things should be. Unfortunately, the proponents of DEI have no merits to stand on. That's why they support being hired solely due to their characteristics and not being judged based on their actual worth and ability.
