How many prominent Conspiracy Theorists out there are promoting conspiracies they don’t actually themselves believe in order to discredit those who are exposing true conspiracies?
I’m thinking of Flat-Earthers, Moon Landing deniers, and others who put forth outlandish stuff that fool the gullible and thus discourage the intelligent from looking into legitimate conspiracies.

I would think the three-letter agencies would employ many of these types to spread confusion and disinformation for the purpose of discrediting all Conspiracy Theorists.

Thoughts?

100% happens.

No different than paid "nazis" showing up at DeSantis events.

Im not a DeSantis person, but smart enough to realize they are paid actors from the left.

Most people are too stupid to see through this kind of stuff....but its absolutely real and happens frequently.

9-11 is like this. They pushed all the kooky "no-planes" nonsense to shield the discussion from the actual hijackers, CIA/Mossad involvement, dancing Israelis, etc.

The astronomical number of JFK assassination theories sure give this statement a lot of credibility.

Yup. They see photos of a staged event and voila! It's REAL TO ME DAMNIT!

Many.

There are not Two tiers of Justice.

We are not in a recession.

Helen Keller was never real.

Birds are just holograms.

Hitler died of old age in Argentina.

The earth is hollow and a underground civilization exist there and is accessed through a cave at the South Pole. See Operation High Jump.

Hitler escaped the bunker in Berlin and traveled through time to Kecksburg Penn. in the Bell on 12-9-1965.

there is no coverup for the Las Vegas mass shooting.

You're wrong. Lots of these guys are relatively intelligent and are true believers.

I've written a skeleton outline for a movie about this, FWIW.

CIA has been running such counter intel operations since their existence. They also flat out make up lies about whistleblowers. They have been busted in court doing this crap.

It works. Disprove some small innocuous fact about an event and corrupt it with a kook and suddenly none of the exposed truth was ever real.
