Posted this the day it came out. Facebook deleted it, calling it spam.
Just reposted. How long before I get a warning?

I could see how they wouldn’t want you posting fake coupons (it is fake right?)

Do a little bit of research on Zuckerberg's relationship with Accel Partners, a company with ties to the CIA. Facebook is and always has been an arm of the intelligence establishment.

No. It's a spoof. A fake coupon would actually be accepted and constitute fraud.

There will be an attack on the chans and reddit either just before midterm season or before general election season. Anything outside of the MSM that doesn't lean left will be a target. But the chans and right-leaning reddit subs will be primary targets.

Do you have a problem with a private company making choices about the content it allows?
Posted on 5/5/18 at 12:29 am to mahdragonz
Publicaly traded not - private.
Happened to grow within Obamas Presidency.
Has 0 regulation on the data they collect. Pays minimal tax for selling said data - if any.
Much like apple, cisco, etc. May be allowed to operate in the wings of freedom with very little regulatory oversight. Unfortunately every bit of Data they collect is sold to one bidder - The NSA. - For that beast we can thank W and the PA.
The man unleashed a domestic firestorm of growth in the IT sector that Marxist ‘Bama let bleed. Now the New Prophet steps in and actually capitalizes on tech, mining, manufacturing and Implementation of INDUSTRY not done with repugnant and hatred for American workers but with a Respect and Responsibilify
Eta : That neither Clinton or Bush, nor Obama for that matter, could accept.

I don’t advocate the government getting involved, no. But I’m not the type to sue a baker for his business choices, either.

I've seen so many people on this board claim that these tech companies that are censoring speech are private companies. So, I'm going to help them out.
quote:
A privately held company, private company, or close corporation is a business company owned either by non-governmental organizations or by a relatively small number of shareholders or company members which does not offer or trade its company stock (shares) to the general public on the stock market exchanges, but rather the company's stock is offered, owned and traded or exchanged privately.
A company that offers its stock on a stock exchange is not a private company. Facebook and Twitter are NOT private companies.

So you're using FB to troll people? I can't imagine why a grown man would otherwise have one.

The whole “Facebook crusading for the left because they think they are anybody’s sole source of news” is funny.

How many black people would you consider “friend”

(Facebook is a) Publicaly (sic) traded not - private (company).
Our economy consists of the public sector (government) and the private sector (businesses), plus a few hybrids such as certain utilities. A business in the private sector can be EITHER publicly-traded or privately-held. For example, Facebook is a private-sector business which is publicly-traded.
In the referenced series of posts, it is blatantly-obvious that the original poster was referencing the fact that Facebook is a private-sector business and should be free to set its own content policies without governmental interference (regardless of whether its shares are closely-held or publicly-traded).
The “correction” was both inaccurate in context and irrelevant to the point.

quote:Again, not exactly correct. They are not privately-held, but they ARE private-sector. The context in which the term was used was obviously a reference to the economic sector, not the ownership structure.

nope. If I'm going to continue using facebook I realize that I have to abide by the zuck rules. I enjoy it way to much to stop using it. I wonder how many poli board posters complaining about facebook censorship would scrub all progressive posts if they were in charge.

You're using targeted definitions for an extremely broad statement. Yes, you're right that FB is a publicly held company, but obviously people are arguing it's private (a la not owned by the government nor some sort of government entity) so while you are technically correct using business definitions, you are incorrect using broad definitions.
