I would say their error (in my opinion) is in prioritizing cultural things over pocketbook issues which unquestionably help them, ie Medicaid and welfare. But it would be silly to call them disloyal to anything.

And this is why almost every single Jewish person that I know is a Trump supporter. He also helped lock up Florida with his comments today because Jews represent 5% of the registered voters in a state he won by 1.2% and these comments he made today are going to be well received in the Jewish community.
