The Secretary of State’s website says Johnson filed with that office 9:30 p.m. Monday.
He’s running against incumbent Sen. Martin Heinrich, a Democrat, and Republican Mick Rich, a political newcomer.
Heinrich’s campaign responded to Johnson’s entry with a text to potential supporters saying, “Help Martin take on Gary Johnson!”

The problem is Gary Johnson is a fricking moron. I was confident that I was going to vote for him, but his level of stupidity towards the end and his VP telling people to vote for Hillary just said to me he didn’t deserve my vote. A fricking racoon could have ran as the Libertarian candidate, and I would have voted for it over Trump or Hillary. That’s how bad Gary Johnson is.

I voted Gary in 2012. As stupid as he may look like right now, I have zero regrets about that.

Given his popularity in NM and the fact that the Dem seems more concerned about him than about the GOP candidate, does Johnson force a runoff between himself and the Dem?

This. I literally wrote in Ron Paul. Can’t say it was a waste... cause he actually won a delegate in Texas! I like to think my vote helped that happen. Lol
