Evil (White) America and the Business World

I am at an accounting seminar in Georgia today. I am just blown away how politics/social issues are overwhelming the business world.

One session discussed ESG (environmental, social, governmental) reported for the SEC (not the conference) and my lunch session had a presenter on DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion). She is an Indian speaker who came to America for education and opportunity, speaks with a very strong British accent (a likely sign of upper class Indian), became very successful, and now making money talking about how she faced racism in America.

I left the session when she got into info like x% change their appearance for work, x% of the LGTQ… community hide their lifestyle, and asked why we are still talking about this today. She wouldn’t have liked my answer.

This is the exact same lunch topic I had in another accounting seminar in Texas this summer. Only difference is that it was a Black women telling us how she became successful in a racist country.

I know I am a dinosaur, but some people will not be satisfied until caucasians are removed from society…even the small family farmer and coal miners. Of course, I think many of these guilty white accountants in the meeting were eating up this self guilt crap.
